This page was made for me lol. Does anyone have recommendations for online resources to really learn about plants from a scientific perspective?

    I’d love to hear answers to this post! House Plant Journal is science based and has some videos and articles but you have to pay for some info. Summer Rayne Oakes is also science based. The plant rescuer is also helpful :) oh and everything plants and aloha plant life. Also defaulting to any botanists is helpful!

    I’m old so I prefer books. I can highlight paragraphs, take notes, and dog-ear pages. I really like “Plantopedia.” It has basic information, but the photos are gorgeous. A beautiful book to have just because. “The Houseplant Whisperer” is awesome, and the “Houseplant Handbook.” the handbook is cool because it gives alot of objective data about light and humidity.

      Of course! It’s so awesome. The only hard part is that images are sometimes of stuff in the wild (covered in spines) or the thumbnail is a flower. I reckon they already assume we know the ID of our plants before we begin ha. Really, I love reading about the terrain and anomalies that made a plant what it is. Evolution!

Also, sciencey based You Tube Channels I follow: Everything Plants (Geeky/science houseplants) Nick Alexander (comedic science & history plant facts) Summer Rayne Oakes (specific plant details and collector & garden tours) House Plant Journal (science plants, lighting focus) (*he has both you tube & a website)
