   Me and Christmas cacti get along really well I’ve always grown feet high ones and I have always done extreme drainage. They love water but they do not want to sit in it at all. There roots can also get pretty deep so that pot might not be good. I’d put a Venus fly trap maybe in there. They like moist and have small roots.

   If you add drainage you should be fine! But if that’s metal I would also seal it
