Hi~ I am a newbie with plants ~ mostly because every plant I have ever owned has died. Pretty quickly, too. I received a Monstera and another plant for my birthday recently because I have been admiring other peoples plants and my loved ones noticed. I was so excited when I received my plants, but am now worried because after only a few weeks my Monstera leaves are browning all over! I swear I am watering it like I’m supposed to (once per week) and I’ve even tried talking to it at this point! Does anyone know why my leaves would be browning? To be specific, they will start to turn brown and then will be brittle in the brown spots to the point that it seems like that part is dying… thank you in advance for any feedback you might have!

Hello! I’ve downloaded this app to look for some advice - I’ve had this monstera for many years and left it at my parents’ house when I first moved out. Now I’ve got my own home I’ve brought it with me, but it’s so top heavy and I don’t know what to do! I definitely should have looked into how to prune it properly when I first had it but it’s always been happy and put out new leaves so I never worried too much. Now it’s tipping over and I feel like it’s outgrown the younger leaves and thinner stem at the bottom. Should I cut it higher up and propagate? Or is there another way of tidying it up and keeping it healthy? Thank you!

HELP!!! I went to turn my precious Thai in the window and saw THIS! I noticed the edge of a leaf browning just a hair a couple weeks ago, but I thought it was a fluke. I’ve had this girl for a couple years now and have never had any issue. Why does she have brown spots????

I got this Thai Con in July as a baby. First new leaf that emerged was half white. Second was fenestrated with classic speckled pattern. Third (currently unfurling) looks like it’s going to be mostly white with fenestrations. I’m wondering if I should be worried about the next leaf being fully white. It’s in a south facing window. I have a Deliciosa in the same window that has almost 3 foot wide leaves.

Hi all! I bought my monstera deliciosa in April as a tiny young plant. It was the first house plant I had in awhile other than cat grass and seedlings for my outside pots. I have been trying my best to keep her happy. I bought a grow light earlier this month and finally I have two fenestrations! I am over the moon about it. 😁 I look forward to spring/summer when I’ll probably repot and get her a good moss pole setup.

Attempting to tie this guy up into something presentable. We let it kind of grow wild in a corner and now need to do something else. Possible to tie up or you think we need to cut it back and start fresh

i snipped my beautiful school green house adansonii when trying to open her little prop bottle bc i wanted to give her a bigger one :(( i put her in this shot glass, she has some emerging root and growth, so I'm hoping she's not doomed.

My Thai Baby has its first fenestration leaf! This monstera sweats! I have changed my watering. I think I may be overwatering it…. But…. Now it’s fully unrolled!

Had a bit of a disaster. My mini monstera had grown so big it needed a much taller moss pole. Then that was tippy so decided to go into a bigger pot. In repotting the entire long plant broke off from its roots. I cut it in pieces and put in water (with nodes). How long will they take to root? I guess it will be bushier.
