Can someone one please help me. My variegated monstera started with a slight brown tip, I cut it off and it seems like the browning won’t stop bleeding threw the leaf. The rest of the plant is perfect. A beautiful new leaf just unfolded a few days ago ❤️Thank you !!!

When I got my monstera a couple months ago it was growing all to one side. The new growth seems to be growing straight but because the largest stems are tilted, it tips over. Any tips? Will a moss pole fix this?

I usually push my monstera outside on the balcony early in the morning and move her back before the evening sun gets too harsh. But I left her out longer than usual one day and noticed this black spot. It’s only on one of the leaves. Could this be sunburn? I’ve seen leaves turn yellow when scorched by the sun but never black. Any ideas?

Hey everyone, new to the app. Can y’all help me out: my monstera has some very healthy green leaves and growing strong and tall but I’m worried about the new growth at the base here. Is this a product of under-watering? I assume that this plant needs to be repotted to a larger pot. Any thoughts?

4-5 years ago I bought my Monsterra, I didn’t know Jack about plant care. Most of my plants outside of Pothos died because I just didn’t put much effort into learning. So when I got this beautiful plant from a Home Depot for $24, I immediately repotted it. It went from an 8” pot to a 12” lol. I used moisture control soil (ugh I know…). Because the soil retained so much water, I just started bottom feeding it with the planter I got from Target. It was doing pretty well for someone who was totally clueless. Zero leaf discoloration. Last year, my mother in law came to visit and decided to water all my plants without asking (I had already watered everything days prior). She saturated the top of the soil. I tried to drain as much as I could, but it soon turned yellow then brown. I had to cut a couple leaves and I took a healthy leaf to (poorly) propagate. I finally repotted it after zero growth after the incident. Lost some roots, kept most, hydrogen peroxide the bottom ones, sprayed everything below the soil with copper fungicide. Removed as much of the moisture control soil as I could and replaced it with well draining aroid mix (fox farms + orchid bark + perilite). Gave it a moss pole to climb on and held it all together with garden Velcro. I put it back in a 12” pot but this was deeper so it has an extra 2” below which I filled in with 1” of bark/moss. (It was all I could get a hold of- hope it works out). I couldn’t separate them to turn the other plant to face the right direction but got it as close as I could get. Fingers crossed I made it happy!!

木遁秘術・樹界降誕,

Good evening I’m new to the world of plants but I do have a couple already . I picked up this beauty at my local plant shop the other day . I plan on moving her into my office but I need some suggestions on where can I place here . So far this is my setup at my office . I would take any advice or suggestions.

i’m new to Monsteras and do NOT want to kill mine. i’ve got a fairly green thumb so i trust myself but was wondering if there’s anything special they need. im looking into a grow light specifically for her, do you think she needs it?

I got this monstera a few months ago and all the baby leaves have fallen off. I’ve also noticed some dark spots on the leaves (pic below). Could I get some tips? 🙏

Making sure my expensive baby is healthy. Got some dry tip, and maybe some see-thru-ness. I am a newbie when it comes to plants, and I can’t afford this one to die. Thoughts?

hi guys!! i recently got a 12” monstera.. and she is beautiful. i have been bottom watering her when 2-3 inches of the top soil is dry, but for some reason i feel like i’m underwatering… where some of the stems come out of the soil there’s a few that are browning as if they’re dry. she gets dry about 2-5 days after i water. do i need to water more? am i over watering?

New plant-dad here and I’m noticing about a week after bringing her home from the nursery the tips of most of the leaves have started to droop. This is after watering last week and post-watering the tips have been ‘sweating’. Soil is moist, plant is about 5’ from NW facing window with indirect warm sun. Any tips would be appreciated- other than that she seems healthy and lots of new growth already. Thank you!

Monstera plants need bright indirect light. They should be watered when the top 2” of soil is dry. The pot should have drainage holes in it. The soil should be able to drain within a minute or two after watering. Don’t let it sit in water. If the weather is mild and sunny I put mine on the patio just out of direct sunlight. If you haven’t fertilized yet think about doing that also. Hope you can save your plant!

I found this beautiful Monstera at Lowe’s! Unfortunately I’m one by one noticing my leaves looking like this. I was told it may be fungal? I know I need to repot with a better soil, but I just specifically want to know if this looks fungal, and if so, what to treat with? TIA
