So over the last few months I’ve been battling against this monstera, fighting to keep it alive. As a first time monstera owner I did my research to ensure I knew how to look after it. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if this plant is still salvageable or whether it’s already rotted? If so what can I do to save it? Thanks in advance

I’ve had this baby for about 3 years now - it was about 1/3 the size when I first got it. It took me a while to figure out how to keep it happy so it looks thinner near the bottom where it lost a few leaves while I was learning 😅. It’s been getting so tall that I recently cut off the top 3 leaves and stuck them back in the soil to try to fill the plant out more. I also moved it out of my south facing window and put it into a shadier corner to try to slow the growth down, but then the new leaves stopped getting fenestrations 😕 so I added a grow light. It’s about 5.5 feet tall now.

So I put a moss pole in my monstera about a week ago and there are still some leaves that are flopped down. Should I add another pole (around where you can see the aerial root sticking out of the pot)? Also if you can see it, did I attach the first pole correctly? Thanks so much!

Some new leaves are opening up!

My monstera recently grew two new leaves- they unfurled around 1-2 weeks ago. they seem to be weirdly shaped, curled, and extremely fragile and ripping at the slightest things- i’ve checked for pests, i don’t believe to have found any, but i could be wrong, is this normal? how can i help it?

Is it time to pot yet? It’s been propagating in water since the start of July. It looks like it’s pushing through a new leaf! Should I leave it until after it leafs? When would be a good time to pot?

Thrips infestation attacked my plant. I’ve repotted. Now I think the yellowing on the stem is a symptom of root rot. This one particular leaf is my only mature leaf, with actual fenestrations. There’s a new leaf budding. But at the base, it has started to yellow. Will this leaf ever grow and unfold? 😓

This is Lady, she was love at first sight and I couldn't leave without her😦 I have worked hard to get her to her full potential. I'd love any general tips on how to deal with the two stems and moss poles (thinner ones would work best). I've had her for 4 months and she is my first large houseplant ❤️
