I bought this guy on July 3rd, this past week he pushed out a beautiful new leaf and I noticed heâs starting to get an aerial root! Today I decided to give him a coco coir pole. Such a good looking fella! đđż

Whatâs going on with my monstera?
Hi guys, so my Monstera obviously has a front side to it. is that how most of them are or should we turn it around to let the other side grow? also I put it on a moss pole a few weeks ago but Iâm not sure if I did it rightđ€đȘŽ
Was so close to losing this baby due to shock during shipping. This past week she threw out not one but TWO new leavesđ„Č Thank goodness because this was a wishlist plant that I did pay a pretty penny for. Obsessed is an understatement.
Leaf #3 for this baby, and hopefully more fenestrations than the last oneđ€đŒthe difference between leaf 1 and 2 was pretty crazy, so canât wait to see what this one looks like đ€©
Iâm wanting to train my monstera early on with a moss pole but not sure where I need to put it
I rescued this Monstera in June. Hereâs a pic of when I brought it home for $3 and what she looks like now. The newest leaves arenât giving any fenestrations, is it a light issue? Sheâs repotted in a tub right now because it was super leggy and didnât feel comfortable trimming and propagating at the time. Iâm blown away about how much sheâd healed in just a month.
sooo someone at work just brought me this monstera bc it was too big looks pretty healthy and has a new, beautifully fenestrated leaf! i have quite a few monsteras (theyâre my fav), but none this large. i want to give her something to climb, but not sure where to start with one this size, so iâm looking for any advice yall would like to share âșïž
Just musing about plants today. Why donât we see monstera hybrids? There seems to be and endless number of hybrid philodendrons and anthuriums hitting the rare plant market all the time. But I donât think Iâve ever heard of a hybrid monstera đ€ Iâll google it, but I still wanted to post in case someone wanted to get into a nerdy thought bubble with me đ I had this thought because the non-variegated philodendron white knight that Iâve had for about two years has given me its second surprise variegated leaf (not even on the same plant lol since the main one came with smaller pups). While I was admiring the white on burgundy on green layered variegation, I thought of how stunning a red variegated monster deliciosa would be! Gotta get those mad scientist growers in Thailand working on that lol So from there I thought about how many color varieties philodendrons come in compared to how few monsteras show. Which lead to thinking of the very colorful philodendron hybrids out there, which lead to my initial rhetorical question. I know some plant genuses can be very hard to propagate via pollination in âcaptivity,â which can contribute to lack of success hybridizing, besides just gene compatibility Like I said, I shall google it as well, but I wanted to try to bring some of my fellow nerds to the yard đđ Pictures for tax. Please ignore the water drop spotting on the older leaves, I saw a thrip so I dowsed everyone in a spray with diatomaceous earth lol
Thought Iâd share my first leaf with fenestrations on both sides! đ Iâve grown this plant from a lil tiny baby plant.
Was just gifted this pretty one since my neighbour is moving :) Iâm excited but have heard theyâre very difficult⊠Any tips would be so appreciated!
Babyâs first fenestration! đ±âš This is a grocery store Thai Con and weâve been through it. Finally got a new leaf after a repot and location change. đźâđš
Hi Maniacs! â€ïžâđ„ Some questions about my monstera adon: I think I may have had it in too direct of sun a few weeks ago and it got crispy brown edges. It has since grown new leaves. Should I leave the browned leaves or cut them (at the base?)? It doesnât hold water when I do water and feed it. Is that a sign that it needs repotting? I wondering if it needs something to climb up? Thanks for your help!
Missed documenting one day â this thing is gonna be huge đźâđš
I am going to repot my monstera and have never done this before! âš Looking for advise & tips :) âš I purchased a moss pole and a 10â pot (this one is 8â). Advise on soil? How to use the moss pole? Anything you can think of that you would have wanted to know as a newbie? Thanks so much! (Sorry photos are bad, Iâm not near my plant so had to use what was in my camera roll)
Alright, Iâm back! Got my babe all repotted in fresh, chunky soil! Any suggestions or fixes? I used Sol Soil Chunky mix along with some orchid mix⊠this pot does have drainageâŠ
What do I do to make her look better? đ”âđ« Iâve never used a moss pole and tried to tie her on one but I have leaves going in every direction and some are backwards. I have a few leaves folded over on itself and one flimsy sun damaged leaf. It looks pitiful
The before and after (last picture the before) of my lovely monstera. It seems so droopy and meh. Iâm usually really good with plants but my monstera just does not seem too happy. I want her back looking tall and fresh like when I first got her. Any help and advice would be hugely appreciated đżđ
My new monstera leaves are coming out damaged â any idea what might be causing this? Iâm growing it in water with a hydroponic fertilizer. Itâs in a room with a south-facing window but far removed from the window, so I donât think too much light should be an issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated đđ
Feeling like a proud Plant-Mum today - Gomez has started to cut his first leaf đ„čđ„°
