Hey everyone! New to the app, and I thought I would just ask a quick question to the pros. Is this enough light for my new monstera albo??im a little worried since I’ve heard contradicting things about their light needs… It’s a north facing window in Alberta for reference.

I turn around for a second… 😆 I’ve never experienced this before. A leaf growing from the soil… or a whole new stem?!
I am in the search for a unique and cute moss pole for my plant. Where do you all get yours?
Is that a spider web on the soil of my Thai constellation or something else? What should I do?
My lovely Thai 💚 1. 3 week old leaf 2. New growth sprouting 3. Big mama in all her glory
Help! I’m a newbie and have this young monstera. My toddler bent one of the stems 😭What should I do?!
Swapped the poles on my Thai Constellations from Coir to Real Moss. Need to make sure I remember to keep them moist now. Also adjusted my grow light position so all my plants in this corner get enough light.
Help Help Help My monstera is dying! Monte is dying! We have had a lot of days in a row with rain or cloudy. But…. It was time to repot, clean, change dirt; give Monte the full spa treatment for plants. I don’t think he liked it. Because after that day, he started going down hill. I began to notice the curling on the tips of his leaves. I asked Dr. Planta and he said lacking water, got on a different watering schedule. Then….no sunlight (hardly), and the water seemed to drain so fast out the bottom. That’s when the leaves started turning brown at the tips. Is Monte dying?? What do I do to save him? He’s still growing!!
i identify as a tai con obsessed plant parent. 🤍💚 i got 4 now!!
I've given my monstera a moss pole and it's rubbed and ripped a healthy stem and new leaf😅 do I leave it and see if it mends naturally? Or is there something to do in the meantime? I've taken the top moss pole off so it's not causing anymore friction
Uhhhhhhh WHAT IS IN MY MONSTERA?? Are those EGGS??
To do the big chop, or not to do the big chop? I’ve had my monstera about 2 years now and it was maybe 12” when I got it. Since I’ve given it a trellis and a bigger pot, it has put out large leaves like crazy! It even outgrew the grow light. It’ll be very hot to warm here for at least 8 more weeks so I can put it outside if I want. The question is, do I do “the big chop” now or wait till next year’s growing season? This is my first monstera, so of course the idea of The Chop is kinda terrifying! 🫣 Please ignore the mess in the photo. My house is undergoing a renovation so everything is out of sorts.
I got my monstera a little while ago from a friend and kept it in water for a few weeks but noticed a leaf starting to turn yellow and was told to put it in soil but it still isn’t thriving. I watered it recently and it is sitting on my dining room table a few feet from the window. When I repotted it I noticed it had a small amount of black on the tips of its roots. I know they can go in shock but I’m just wondering what else it could be?
Hello! Is it possible to have too much humidity? I have my monsteras under a little plastic “greenhouse” cover but it is quite humid outside (81% give or take). It’s been dryer lately so I put them in here but if it could get too humid I can pull them out and let them be outside. I have a hygrometer on the way so I’ll have an accurate reading of the humidity in the greenhouse soon.
This is Gaia, my 7 foot monstera!! She was a Facebook find if you can believe it. I need tips for a monstera this monstrous! I put her on a new moss pole but watering her is so difficult as I can’t move the pot. She’s also starting to have dry brown tips on a few leaves :( I can’t image she’d want less light (she gets bright indirect sunlight all day with a few of those leaves in the window getting direct eastern light in the morning) so more humidity? I’m scared to overwater her. :(
This girl had a rough time at first, but now she’s doing great! I was wondering if she’d be best on a plank or just leave her to trail??? Sent a couple views of her. If I plank her, what do I do with all the “bushy parts”? I’ve never planked anything before. I know I won’t do a true moss pole. Thanks for any advice or direction.
Trying to decide what to do with this big ol’ lady. She has a new leaf at the top and is growing babies at the bottom, but recently four large mature leaves turned yellow and died 😕 the pot she came in has no drainage so I’d really like to re-pot her (same size? What medium?) but also have no idea if I should strategically chop & prop some of the longer stems so the whole plant is more full and uniform. WWYD?
Got this monstera on Facebook for free. The condition was the first photo. I made a pot for it out of a 5 gallon waste basket, fixed her up(as seen in last photo). I know she’s going to be sad because of all the changes made (home, soil, pot, sunlight maybe), do you think she’ll thrive? Did i do the right thing with her? What’s a good name?
This monstera was doing really well, I grew it from a cutting I was given. I came home to find this leaf was slightly wilted with brown marks. What could this be? My leading theory is that it got burned touching the window during the current heatwave but I wanted some second opinions.
I got this plant about three years ago and it just had three leaves on it. I didn’t know that these were climbing plants and it has grown all over the place. Any suggestions on what to do with it at this point?
