So, today Iâm going to be reporting my girl. There are 3 vines, Iâm nervous about the best way to do this without damaging her or breaking anything off. Iâm also adding a live moss pole she can grab on to. Right now she is in a 6 inch pot, and Iâm putting her into an 8 inch pot. I hope that isnât too big. Itâs the only pot I could find that wasnât outrageously expensive. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!!
one monthâs difference! Really proud of my girl đȘđŒ
Hi everyone! Need some advice! Iâve had my thai monstera for a couple months now and she seems to be doing well. I recently trimmed off some of the smaller/lower/floppy leaves and I attached the âbackâ of the plant to the pole for support. My question is - does this look like enough support for now? I really want her to grow big and grow upward but I donât want to do it wrongđ Any further tips on how to really get this plant to pop off are really appreciated too! đż
Meet Dao (âstarâ in Thai) Ive always wanted a Thai Constellation and Trader Joes had some very healthy ones.
Thai monstera will need a repot once her new leaf unfurls!! But Iâm going to need better support (she just had a wooden stake for now), and Iâm not sure which direction is supposed to be her front? I donât really want to do a moss pole, but not sure what I want to use yetâŠAnd how much bigger pot do I do? đ€
Hereâs my Mike Wazowski!! My first Monstera!! I just added the moss pole a week ago look at him do you think I should separate him into 4 plants. Or is he fine. He has sprouted several new leaves and you might see a few more coming in, in the photos.
Please be gentle with me đ DIO is my first monstera and Iâm learning as I go. I got him from Ikea a month ago and would really appreciate some expert advice so he can thrive. Iâve learned about the dark spots on some leaves are from my misting technique, and Iâll need to remove a couple more damaged leaves. He has a grow light, but I think I need to grab a better one for more coverage. Iâm planning on grabbing a moss pole tomorrow, and after reading other posts, the window heâs in is probably too small and heâll be happier in the window up on my landing (south facing house so limited light sources!) The real elephant in the room is how many dang plants are in the pot and how soon do I have to separate him? Weâre getting the odd fenestrations, and he has some big new leaves coming as well as the tiny ones popping around the base of the pot. If anyone has recommendations for books you find helpful in caring for these beauties, Iâd be really grateful for the help!
We gettin this root to grow one way or another
Hi Im new To the Thai Con Monstera! I just bought a Barina T10 Vertical 4ft Stand Light! How far away should I have it? Its about 12-16 inches away (eyeballed) as of right now
When your reverted white monstera you chopped a while back comes back to life!!đ„č
This is my girl. She is about 2.5 years old. I know she isnât getting enough light, only morning-noon. This is the only window I can have her. I just feel like she isnât as âprettyâ as others I see. The most âslitsâ she has is two on only one leaf. I know sheâs still pretty young, but I see people post pics of theirs either lots of âholes and slitsâ on younger plants. Once my garden seedlings are ready to go outside Iâm going to put my grow light on her. Any suggestions?? There are three vines in the pot. Also, the pot isnât as small as it looks, I took this pic at a weird angle and makes it look tiny. I promise itâs not a tiny pot.
anyone have tips/tricks for a monstera adansonii?? ive had one in the past but leaves got brown and died. i want to try it again!!! thanks in advance!!
This was so difficult to just walk by. I already have one. But Iâm thinking it might want a friend!!! (Trader Joeâs $12.99)
Wtf is that spot?? Panicking âŠ
Before I go crazy and disrupt her peace, does this look like two plants? I received Nova đ« as a gift that my friend picked up from a nursery. I keep staring at her thinking she may be twoâŠ
Hi all! This is my first monstera and Iâm unsure of how to best support her as she grows. I got her about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I decided to add a support pole for her (I donât like it and plan to change it eventually but figured this will at least help start training her to grow up in the direction I want her to) so hereâs where I need help. It looks like she has at least three main stems and they all face a slightly different direction. Iâd like to try to get her to face one way or at least look like sheâs mostly facing one way. I was able to get all 3 main stems gently attached to the support. But would it be better to get a wider more trellis style support OR should I repot her and try to separate into 3 plants? (Yes she has a grow light and is near a window, the window is northeast and doesnât get any direct light and is shaded by the house next door and our garage so not enough light without the grow light)
Had to get a mint đ thanks to all the mothers for Motherâs Day plant stocks!!!
Is this monstera rare? I found it at Walmart today and thought it was pretty. Also found twenty plus pink princess, and even Carmel marble philodendron.
Advice needed. I have three plants in this one pot. I can separate the three but where should I chop and prop? Ideally I want to give each of the three main plants proper poles to climb in the future but should I chop off the bottom nodes currently in the soil into separate babies? Thereâs a rock in the pot literally there to keep this from tipping over. I had health issues that kept me from helping this plant sooner but I can do it now.
