Just thought you all might like to meet my beefcake monstera! She’s only about 10 months old, planted a cutting from my brother-in-law last February! Her biggest leaf is 2 feet wide! She’s doing great though pretty dormant right now with the winter. I don’t want to put any stress on it but trying to figure out how to coax it to grow more upright. Its main stem is very thick and pretty much immovable at this point. Any suggestions out there for getting it to grow more upright? I don’t want to force the thick stem too much with moss poles / trellises.

My monstera isn't looking as lively as it was before and i'm not exactly sure what to do with it. It was growing huge leaves before and now it's barely growing any leaves at all. I'm thinking it needs some more light as it's pretty far from a window that doesn't give off much light. If anyone has any tips or suggestions that would be great! I just want my plant to be thriving instead of just existing 🥲

When I bought my monstera, I kept it in the same grow pot and soil it came with (17cm pot). It generally needed to be watered every 8 days. A few months ago, I repotted to a 22cm pot with new soil. Now, it seems my monstera doesn’t need watering for at least a month or longer. Even when I watered it last, the soil was slightly damp around an inch deep. Is this normal? There’s a new leaf growing (spot at the top of pic) so it can’t be doing too bad, but I feel like the aerial roots aren’t growing as fast as before 🤔

Hello! New plant mom here and I’ve been propagating this monsterra plant! The roots are only growing on one side though, should I keep together when I pot or split it up and continue propagating the side with no roots? TIA!

Need some advice on my monstera. I got her at a big box store last spring and she’s never been repotted. The nursery pot is sitting on a pedestal inside this ceramic pot. She’s thriving in this spot and I’ve been afraid to do anything, have two new leaves this week. There are at least 5 plants in this pot, and there are a ton of roots coming out the bottom. I had fed some of the aerial roots into the lower pot and those have grown as well. Where do I start? Is winter a bad time to repot in San Diego? Do I have to divide these plants? I was planning on adding supports when I repotted.

New monstera mother. This girl was in bad shape when I bought her on Offer Up. She has not been repotted. She has new leaves and growth since I utilized stands and fertilized, however some leaves have brown tips and holes. Any thoughts, advice, or suggestions would be so very appreciated! She’s beautiful and I want to be sure she continued to thrive.

So I have this rescue monstera I have been trying to nurse back to life and after giving it a good mist I noticed that there were these odd spots on the underside of its leaves The odd part is it’s only on some of the leaves and others look completely fine I swear if this is some kind of bug I’m gonna burn this whole house down

Hello! Long time plant owner, first time monstera owner. I've had the plant for ~ 2 weeks and have not reported yet. I had a leaf go yellow on me - it looks like it rotted! I was able to take out the offending stem easily. The plant has plenty of drainage and soil is dry between baths. Everything else seems to be doing well - we even have a new leaf! Any tips? Should I be worried about this spreading to other, healthy stems? Thank you for any help! 💚

Hi there! My monstera has been having a tough time since winter and looking for any advice!! I bought her in the summer and since the winter with not as much light coming into my apartment she’s been drooping with an occasional yellowing leaf. Now, the original pot was a self watering pot, but it was too small so I repotted it into a larger pot that isn’t self watering so perhaps it’s still adjusting to some shock. I also just purchased a grow light to help! First image is the original pot I planted it in during summer and the other is the new pot that was repotted in late September (also just misted the plant right before taking image) Any help for this plant newbie is appreciated!!

Hi everyone! Happy Holidays! I’m new to Monsteras and just got one for Christmas can anyone tell me some tips for repotting, watering, and basic care?

Lexi

I know new leaves are supposed to be lighter until they darken but the stem to the leaf is lighter than it was yesterday is that normal?

I recently moved my monstera to a new location, and for the first time a leaf is dying! (1st pic) It was the leaf closest to the wall, but does anyone know if there’s a reason for this? The second photo shows there’s still new growth and it’s doing well, I don’t know why it’s just that one leaf…

Please help! I noticed discoloration on almost every leaf of my Adansonii Albo. I keep this plant in a 3-4 inch pot with a chunky soil mix under a grow light for 12 hrs/day. I water when the soil is mostly dry so roughly a week and a half. There’s nothing noticeably wrong with the roots and the underside of the leaves. I gave the plant a shower just in case. What else would y’all recommend?

This isn’t a sign of scale, right? A bit unsure of what the browning on roots/spots on leafs are. Any pointers will help!!!

I need some advice! This is my first Monstera I got her in January as a 4 leaf plant. I did repot her in the summer and put her on a mosspole. Today I had to move her to a different spot because she got to big and as I was taking her out of the cache pot I saw a huge bundle of roots. My question is should I repot her now or wait until spring? The mosspole is full of roots, and I'm not sure what to do at this point. 🤔 Any help would be appreciated. Thank you
