Hey guys! Does anyone know why this new leaf on my deliciosa has brown spots? I literally just checked it this morning and it was fine, clear with no brown spots. But this evening I noticed it has these brown spots, they donât come off or rub off when I run my fingers on them. I hope it doesnât damage the baby leaf before it has a chance to unfurl.
I got this lovely albo top cutting around June last year. At the time it was two leaves. I gave it ages to grow luscious roots and planted it and then waited and waited and waited. It finally grew its first (beautifully variegated) new leaf late November, and I hoped that was the start of it coming to life but thereâs no sign of any more leaves coming. It seems very healthy, but even now that itâs spring and my other non-variegated monsteras are shooting out leaves like nobodyâs business, thereâs nothing new on this one. Itâs my first propagated monstera, do I just need to continue patiently waiting or does it need something different?
Hello! Can someone help me understand which part of my plant is the back and front? I purchased this plant over a month ago and wanted it to get acclimated to its new home. I'm ready now to repot and bought a coir moss pole from Amazon. I'm a new plant owner so any suggestions you could give would be great. I think I figured out the right kind of soil based on YouTube videos. Just not sure about the support, if she needs the pole, and where to put it. Goals are for a full , beautiful, and vibrant plant! Does it need support? If so, where to put the pole? Thanks so much!!
What the hell are these yellow sprouts (For context I put a plaster over this root when it was damaged because idk. Just peeled off the plaster and saw this)
Finally brought home Big Mama!! This Monstera deliciosa is an absolute unit. Giant fenestrated leaves, thick stems, and jungle energy all day. Found her locally and couldnât say no. Sheâs settling in for now, but definitely the new star of the space.
I was gifted this monstera but I am not great with plants. Itâs beautiful & I want to keep it alive so please help me out. Any advice is greatly appreciated - I have no idea what Iâm doing lol
My monstera is not happy and hasnât been for a while. (it is not usually in this location i just put it there today because im rearranging my room). for some background it was originally in my very dark living room and was doing ok for a while but then started drooping and taking up way too much space so i took it to my room where i get sun. the leaves never went back upright and started yellowing and now theyâre brown and dry. should i cut the brown ones off? i cant tell if its over or under watered. (sorry for bad pics lol)
Just got back from vacation and found my monstera adansonii looking very very sad. It was hotter than normal while I was away so the humidity wasnât at a great level. đ Is there anything I can do to save her? Some, but not all of the yellow leaves are also crispy to the touch. Iâve included a beautiful before and depressed after pics. đ
This Adansonii is a monster! Every week for the last two months itâs sprouts 1-2 new leaves! Itâs crazy!!
Does anyone care for their monstera with a UV bulb? Iâve got a 36W ppf 65.6 umol/s LED plant bulb that I have on over it for roughly 8-10 hours a day. Am I doing anything right or wrong? Iâm tryna keep this thing alive in a room without sunlight.
Hello everyone! I have recently gotten back into my plant addiction grind and have been wanting the challenge and satisfaction of growing my monsteras and my new Thai constellation. I was hoping anyone and everyone could give me tips on the following: - best soil for my Thai and all my monsteras? - is it better to buy or make my own soil? - what are the best pots for my monstera? Should I use ceramic with drainage or get clear pots with heavy draining and get a decorative pot? - what is the best plant fertilizer? - HOW do I get my monsteras to have BEAUTIFUL and full green leaves with lots of character? - how should I go about lighting? (I live in a very small apt with 2 methods of lighting aka my bedroom window and my patio) I know this is a lot and overwhelming, but I love my plants and am happy Iâve gotten back into this hobby; I really want to start prioritizing my foliage farm! Thank you all <3
Does anyone know why my newest leaf is folded on the ends?
Had a little accident⊠a grow light fell on my burle marx flame, and I didnât notice until it had already burned the leaf. âčïž But donât worry guys, I fixed it! đïžđïž
My Thai Con has been giving some pretty cool variegation lately đ
Should I repot?
Monsteras be like
How can I tell the back from the front of my monstera if the root is where all the big leaves are? Pls I am trying to put a moss pole on it but donât know where to put it :(
My Monstera adansonii looks quite sad. This is over the course of 3ish days. Soil is damp. No pests. Havenât moved it. Have included root photos, as I have never seen green root growth before and hope someone can explain it to me. Thanks for any advice/thoughts.
Should I mist my monstera? I see so many conflicting sides saying it doesn't do anything except allow fungus and bacteria to get on the leaves but then see people saying it helps them
