I just got my first monstera today but it’s a very sizeable one for coming from a grocery store. It looks like it has a few new leaves coming from several different parts of the plant, or that it might even be two separate plants potted together. Any advice or recommendations for me? I have to get a pot big enough for this if I need to replant it but I’m not sure if it needs that now or not. I’m also taking unhinged name suggestions as this is now our largest plant (excluding some peppers out back)

Do you guys believe that large form monstera albos exist? There seems to be conflicting opinions online and no official science on it. Some say no but all I find when I look it up is that they're very real, just incredibly rare and expensive. I've only recently become interested in albos and discovered this tidbit of controversy

I picked up this beautiful Monstera from Home Depot. It has several stems so I added two Climb-Itt poles for support. There are leaves growing in EVERY direction lol. How invested should I be on getting them all front facing (if even possible)?

Is the node growing up top an aerial root? If so, how should I support it? Is there anything I can do to encourage a fuller plant rather than the leggy growth I have right now? Any help appreciated!

Day 5 of propagating my Thai con!! I couldn’t post anything for two days because I was on a trip , but it’s official there is a root growing!! (The lighter area of the node is the new root) ~ I do get asked a lot about how I propagate and my answer is only distilled water! Sometimes I will add a golden pothos as if they grow together in water it promotes growth! ~

I am in need of advice. I’m trying to get my monstera attached to a moss pole. This is my first time. I want to get it to climb and I’m having a lot of difficulty with it so I need to know what to do and how best I might do it. The main problem is whatever the nursery used as medium is so tightly compacted I wasn’t able to completely get it off my plants roots while switching soil types. It was extremely root bound and I found that it had a cloth plug attached to it. I wasn’t unable to remove it so I did clip it on several sides to try to loosen it. Because the top of the soil was so compacted I couldn’t loosen the roots at the top or straighten out aerial roots and attaching the moss pole didn’t go how I’d like. How do I best sort this out. I know there’s gonna be different opinions and ideas. I’m not against a chop and prop if I absolutely have to.

…sorry to dominate this side group so much lately! Herman question, once again. This app says to mist his leaves, whereas my Alexa+ recommended not doing that and just dusting them once in a while. What say you amazing plant people!?🪴😊

How close should a full spectrum light be from a Monstera leaf? Trying to prevent any issues before they happen…he’s a year or less old and just starting his next new leaf!
