Hello!! Anyone have any suggestions on types of supports/stakes/poles for my Thai Constellation? Shes starting to lean and I don’t want her to have any issues. Idk if they will grow onto moss poles like some monsteras will so I wanted to ask before I bought one, or if I should just get a different stake type!

I timed planting this monstera by seed where it actually sprouted within 2 days of my son being born! It’s been putting out leaves on his month marker so there’s always a new leaf for each new month of his life. I’ve been watching the 5th leaf coming out and today, 4days after his 5month mark, I see this. I had thought this whole time it was solid but not any more! 5months for fenestrations! I don’t know if that’s fast or not but I feel accomplished! Can’t wait to see this thing in its full glory in a week or two from now! Edit: while using ChatGPT to ask what the average time it takes for these to form I found out they’re called incisions, fenestrations are only the holes in the center of the leaf.

Hi everyone! Sorry if this is double posted, I think my first post didn’t go through. I have this monstera that I was given cuttings of about 5 months ago. 2 months ago I combined them into this new pot. Since then I have gotten a new leaf that fully opened up last week. Two of the stalks (sorry if the wording isn’t correct, I’m new to this lol) have where new leaves would come out, but both brown areas on those parts. I’m wondering if they will ever have new leaves out of those areas? Or if there is something I should do? My cat chewed the leaf off one stalk (I know they’re not supposed to chew on them) and the other leaf got cold and turned brown. I cut off the brown edges, but then the freshly cut edges just turned brown so I have left alone. Should I cut this leaf off or just leave it? I fertilized it two waterings ago with specific monstera fertilizer I bought off Amazon, and watered 3 days ago - following the Planta schedule. I do have a grow light I could place under if needed (Michigan winter currently so not a ton of sunlight). I’m just not sure what to do now but I just want it to grow new leaves lol. Thanks! :)

Back with another question! This beautiful plant baby arrived yesterday to me in great shape. It’s in sphagnum moss & this is my first experience with that medium. Do I repot this immediately/soonish into my aroid soil mix (homemade, super airy & chunky) OR do I keep it in the moss for a while?

I bought this monstera a couple weeks ago. The soil was so compact and hard I repotted it after a week. I had to soak the old soil and roots to loosen it up so I could remove the majority of it. After repotting I noticed a lot of transpiration. I had to wipe it down a couple times a day. Now I’m noticing these dark “wet” looking spots on one of the leaves. The leaf itself is not soft or mushy, just discolored. I haven’t experienced this before. Does the leaf go back to its regular coloring after a while? The new soil is very chunky and airy. I’ve checked to make sure it’s draining properly and the soil is retaining moisture but isn’t soaking

Since noticing more yellow/browning I’ve held back on watering this bad boy. I believe it has been close to 1 month since its last watering. The bamboo skewer finally came out fairly dry as the past few weeks the bottom of the soil was still moist. Will these leaves return in colour or should I trim them off? Bonus: a new leaf came in during the dry out period. Is it normal to not water for that long? I’ve snoozed the last 2 prompt by the app to water it haha.

Wanted to show off my monstera Mike Wazowski. The picture of him when I first got him in the yellow pot. He was kinda in rough shape. The right is him tonight. He’s been thriving like the king he is. 💛

I need help with my monstera, is it too little light? Over watering?

What can I do for my monstera? In the past month I have had 2 leaves become rubbery, weak or “squishier” on stems. Browning on the leaf and doesn’t look well. The rest of the leaves seem fine tho. Any tips? I water when the first 2 inches of soil seems dry, and it gets a good amount of indirect light.

hello! I’ve just purchased a monstera plant today, and upon bringing it home she looks a little worse for wear than when she was on display at Rona’s. It was left in a cold vehicle for maybe half an hour, 45 minutes and the leaves are a lot softer, and some even have brown edges which weren’t there before… I assume it’s cold damage, but i have no idea if that’s correct / how i should go about treating it :( I’ve attached some photos, and for context it was probably -15° celsius outside, it went directly into the cold when i brought it out from the store, and then again from the car into the house. I had a nagging thought in the back of my head that I shouldn’t have left it, assuming it wouldn’t be fine if i was finishing an errand quickly — but i suppose canadian winters are notoriously harsh lol (the leaf i circled is what most of the plant looked like in store, compared to the leaves im holding in the other photos) thanks!

So I just bought this Swiss cheese plant yesterday and need some tips. She’s got some brown spots on leaves and honestly looks cluttered in this pot. Also some brown spots on the stems. I need suggestions and tips for her!! Please and thank you.

HELP My monsters just dropped a couple days ago. I was out of town so I assumed she got a little too thirsty… but I watered her and she hasn’t worked up. Aerial roots are crazy and roots look healthy but probably getting crammed…should I unpot her and disturb everything?

I saw this monstera albo near me for $100, is it worth it? I’m not too familiar on what’s a good price for albo
