First time plant mom here! I just got this monstera about 2-3 weeks ago. I have noticed that she’s starting to get new brown spots on the leaves. I have been watering her every week, and I tried to put her closer to the window just yesterday as I felt like she wasn’t getting enough sun. Any help would be appreciated!

Progress!!! Leaf looks like it will have nice variegation! I’m so excited! This monstera started with two leaves now it has 5 plus the new one coming in! I killed my first monstera! Not proud of it but learning from my mistakes!

Hi! I just bought an albo and it’s been watered once with silica mixed in to prevent browning. This is what the normal lighting setup looks like - second picture (thai con is where the monstera albo is now). three grow lights about 8inches away from the plant. Lamp 1: box says output is 800 lumens and energy used is 8W, Lamp 2&3: say 10W each. It gets about 10-12 hrs of this light a day. I get about 2-3 hrs of direct morning sunlight in my window and this plant is put in front of that window then moved to the lighting setup for the rest of the day. This morning it was a bit foggy before I left (so I’m not sure if any sunlight came into the room) and I was out so I didn’t get a chance to move it from the window to the lighting table until about 5PM. When I came back, it had developed the brown spot as seen in the first picture… Is this due to too LITTLE sunlight today or too MUCH?

I’ve had this sweet baby for two years. She started off as one leaf, and then she made progress. A year ago, half of the leaves died because they got sunburned (while my mother babysat-still my fault). I feel she needs more humidity (my husband likes the house at 68.) Tell me what y'all think?

Looking for basic care advice Plant has been in my care for roughly a month now steadily opening new leaves. It's still in nursery pot and is growing lots of little leaves at the base. Should I be trimming these? Adding a climbing pole? Repotting? Thank you!!!!

for some reason, my variegated Monstera keeps having her leaves go brown. I know this will happen because they are already white, but the one in the front with a little bit of white hasn’t browned for probably three months whereas the one behind it we’re half the leaf is brown. Did that almost immediately once I got it, maybe from shock of me buying it? I was devastated as she spit out a full white leaf, and like pretty much immediately died as it was unraveling. I’m not sure what to do to try to prevent this for longer or if it’s just part of the journey lol. I don’t want to lose her!!! I have her in a custom orchid, perlite, and fox farm mix but she does not have a drainage hole, which I do need to create one. Maybe it’s a moisture issue or maybe my light is too bright? I’m not sure! Any advise?!?🌷🌷🌷

Does this plant look healthy? Please give me recommendations if not. What soil is best for monsteras?

Hello! I’ve been trying to figure out my monstera. Two months ago I changed her soil to Sol chunky soil and placed her in a 6” pot. Her leafs are growing large but droopy. What am I doing wrong?

My Leafy Life

I have this Monstera and I think it may have multiple plants. I know very little about these plants. I had a moss pole in it and I used yarn to gently tie some of her to it. She barley had any air roots and the moss pole was very wobbly so it took it out and purchased some wire leaf shaped things to gather her leaves together to make them sturdy. Is the Miss poke better to use? How do I know if she's more than one plant? If she is, do I need a pole for each plant? The picture is as she looks today. For past pictures see the link to her page.
