Why are the leaves so droopy? Did i put it too straight when I tied it to the pole?
Iām very new at plants. I bought this one on Facebook marketplace. Repotted twice because I realized the first pot was way too big š¤¦š»āāļø Sheās now in a clear 6in nursery pot so I can see better when the soil is dry.
I water and mist per plantaās advice. Soil is potting soil + perlite + coco coir. The soil was dry for at least 2in when i last added water + fertilizer a week ago.
Sheās in a room with a large south facing window, but sheās about 8ft from the window.
Iām winging it and learning as I go!
So - any thoughts on why itās so droopy and what I should do?
Thank you! š
Emily
Okay, I know new growth comes from the last grown leaf. So on my monstera what should I be looking for to see if a new growth is starting?

Can you tell if this is one or more plants? How can I stop her leaning over.
Iām going to repot MontsĆØ soon. Iāve got a pot thatās 4cm bigger, a nice airy potting mix that Iām cobbling together myself, a couple of bendy coir poles and Iām waiting on some 3D printed moss poles and moss to come.
Itāll be the very first time Iāve attempted a repot a Monstera and a plant this big.
I got her in this pot from an online store (approx September last year) and she has always tried to lean towards one side.
Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated šš¼
PS I can get better pictures if you need them.

My husband and I went on a day trip to a nursery about 1 hour from our place; just to get out of the house.
I had no intention of buying any plantsā¦I know, famous last words.
But! I found this thia constellation for $89!
I have placed her in my kitchen with my green monstera.
Iām absolutely delighted every time I go into the kitchen!

Questions!
New to this, so pardon my terminology. I was gifted this monstera.
1. The only leaves so far have been towards the bottom. Theyāve been smaller and solid. This new leaf shows fenestration. What determines how a leaf grows?
2 and 3. It looks like new stalks/stems growing from spots that have been cut in the past. I donāt see leafy parts growing here. Is this normal?
4. Is it normal to see these little ābudsā at the bottom of the main stem area?
5. What causes yellow leaves? Am I over-watering? Should I leave this to recover? If I need to cut, how do I know where to cut?
6. The main stems grow sideways vs upwards. Should I add a pole to gently pull them upward?
Thanks for sticking with me and helping as I learn!!

Was sprayed with neem oil a few days ago and itās in bright indirect light rn. Iām also thinking sheās needs a bigger pot. Advice please. Current pot is 6in

My little albo variegata monstera is seemingly happy but hasnāt really grown much or produced any new leaves. Would that be because of winter/cold in my area (or does it matter because itās inside)? Iāve been following Plantaās care schedule. Wanting to help it thrive.
Ty lovelies! š±

My monstera is really happy - putting out 3 new leaves in the past week. No signs of any unhappiness.
But I have noticed very small mushrooms growing out of the base of my moss pole. There have been 2 mushrooms in the past 2 months that I have scooped out by hand. Any suggestions?

My second and last attempt to have a monstera
I repotted her into a mix of pearlite, tropical soil, and orchid bark!
I also put her on a trellis
Wish me luck !

Does she need help? I got this Monstera Adansonii about a month ago and sheās already put out these 2 leaves, but they havenāt completely unfurled? The lower one has been out for at least a week and a half now. I also noticed this bottom leaf is still a little curled under. She was sitting in some soil that I think held moisture for too long; I noticed some white fuzz on the surface, so I repotted 3 days ago into a mix of soil, perlite, and orchid bark. I havenāt watered again since repotting to give it a chance to not be so wet. None of the roots looked black though, aside from one small higher up one that looked like maybe an aerial root forming? So, is the curling alarming?

Hello!! Anyone have any suggestions on types of supports/stakes/poles for my Thai Constellation? Shes starting to lean and I donāt want her to have any issues. Idk if they will grow onto moss poles like some monsteras will so I wanted to ask before I bought one, or if I should just get a different stake type!
My new leaf turned out to be half fenestrated š® I love how unique these beauties are

My baby has given me first leaf with fenestration šš

I timed planting this monstera by seed where it actually sprouted within 2 days of my son being born! Itās been putting out leaves on his month marker so thereās always a new leaf for each new month of his life. Iāve been watching the 5th leaf coming out and today, 4days after his 5month mark, I see this.
I had thought this whole time it was solid but not any more! 5months for fenestrations! I donāt know if thatās fast or not but I feel accomplished! Canāt wait to see this thing in its full glory in a week or two from now!
Edit: while using ChatGPT to ask what the average time it takes for these to form I found out theyāre called incisions, fenestrations are only the holes in the center of the leaf.

Hi everyone! Sorry if this is double posted, I think my first post didnāt go through. I have this monstera that I was given cuttings of about 5 months ago. 2 months ago I combined them into this new pot. Since then I have gotten a new leaf that fully opened up last week. Two of the stalks (sorry if the wording isnāt correct, Iām new to this lol) have where new leaves would come out, but both brown areas on those parts. Iām wondering if they will ever have new leaves out of those areas? Or if there is something I should do? My cat chewed the leaf off one stalk (I know theyāre not supposed to chew on them) and the other leaf got cold and turned brown. I cut off the brown edges, but then the freshly cut edges just turned brown so I have left alone. Should I cut this leaf off or just leave it? I fertilized it two waterings ago with specific monstera fertilizer I bought off Amazon, and watered 3 days ago - following the Planta schedule. I do have a grow light I could place under if needed (Michigan winter currently so not a ton of sunlight). Iām just not sure what to do now but I just want it to grow new leaves lol. Thanks! :)

Back with another question! This beautiful plant baby arrived yesterday to me in great shape. Itās in sphagnum moss & this is my first experience with that medium. Do I repot this immediately/soonish into my aroid soil mix (homemade, super airy & chunky) OR do I keep it in the moss for a while?
