Hi friends! I was gifted a beautiful Monstera, and I want to make sure she thrives! I noticed one of her leaves has some browning, and I’d love any advice from the plant pros here. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Happy planting! 🌿😊

So I have a mini monstera a Swiss cheese plant that I just fertilized & they seem happier, my question is am I supposed to throw a couple moss poles and them so they can crawl on it? My swiss cheese doesn't seem to be getting taller? Thank you so much
Hi guys! I need help and suggestions, so my monstera has been drooped over for quite some time now and some of her leaves will come in and turn slightly brown on the edges. I didn’t know what was happening so I tried to re-pot. I loosened all her roots to help and none of them looked rotted. Do you think the pot is too big? Just concerned because she looks like she’s getting worse and worse
This has been growing up the pole in my grow tent so I rooted an arial root in water for a few weeks and chopped it today repotted and put it on a stake.
Newbie plant lover here. I think I got duped! Bought this plant from Walmart today from Costa Farms and it says it's a Monstera, but when I scanned it in the Planta app it says it's a Philodendron Hope. Can anyone help me identify the correct type of plant? Thanks!
Bought this at Christmas time and it's starting to wilt, I know I need to fertilize it but I am super new to this, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
I have an albo. Ironically, when I first got into plants I never got the typical deliciosa. She’s doing fine, I’m just wondering what everyone’s monstera care tips are they’d wanna share with others:)
hello!! i have a monstera adansonii and i think she’s surviving but not thriving so im looking for suggestions! im having trouble with yellow leaves , not too excessive but enough to think something needs to change. I can admit humidity could definitely be a bit more optimal
To be followed by another question in the comments! Is is common for my monstera to have a few droopy leaves at the bottom? They aren’t limp and don’t feel as if they are under watered but they just look……sad. Do I remove them? How do I remove if I have to? On the other hand she just made two new leaves so she could just be neglecting the bottom side to keep growing? I have a lot of new growth too. She has minimal browning at the edges of old leaves but I’m sure it’s because of humidity, I mist her multiple times a day to keep her happy and it seems to be working and solving that problem.
What is this? Should I leave it exposed?
Hello! Pruning questions. I have this Monstera, just repotted her today because she was still in a plastic pot from the store and was tipping over in between watering. Folks keep talking about pruning and I’m wondering what happens to her after pruning? Will she get bushier? Will she grow in more directions? Right now she grows from two main stalks, will that change? The stalks are heavy and we are out of room on the plant stakes I have, the height is continuing and needs more vertical support. Is that when folks decide to prune?? She seems quite happy and content, I could let her grow in height in this corner BUT I have been worried about size and told myself no more Monsteras. Then… I found a Thai Constellation which can be seen in the first pic. Haha whoops 🤦🏻♀️🫣 no idea where I’ll put her if she decides she likes this window just as much. The purple circled leaf is her most recent leaf.. so big and beautiful and look at all the holes! The blue circle is the leaf prior.
Propagating my monstera and have done well so far until I got to this part 😬 Can I separate the 3 leaves? There are 3 aerial roots (1 per leaf) but I’m not sure where/how to cut them! Thank you in advance! 🙏🏻
Does anyone have any tips on getting this cutting to survive? I propagated it in water for about 3-4 months and planted it in dirt about a month ago. Is this a normal thing to happen with monstera cuttings? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (It got watered today)
I’ve been experimenting with some philodendron tissue cultures recently, and I think I’m ready to step up my game. Wish me luck😅 Anyone else into tissue cultures?
I’m gonna propagate my monstera for the very first time and I’m so nervous. I do not want to kill Monte or harm him in any way. I’ve worked very hard to just keep him alive. Haha!!! Plantgirl has been helping me and I think I’m ready. I just want to make sure one last time. I’m gonna make the cut at the internode where the new leaf is starting. That internode…….
What are these brown branches on my monstera? Does this mean shes healthy/unhealthy?
6 years ago I bought a 1 gallon monstera that was labeled as "foliage" at home depot. For the first year it was a house plant, but then while we were doing some construction she got moved to the front yard. By the time the construction was finished about 8 months later she had already started rooting into the ground and seemed happy, so I let her just exist outdoors. Things have now gotten a bit out of control as she's steadily taking over my entire yard. I want to cut her back but am worried about killing her from shock because the stalks have grown so big it is more like taking limbs off a tree than pruning. Any suggestions on how to keep her happy while getting her back at least somewhat under control?
Woke up to new leafs on all 3 of my monsteras💚
I’m so so excited I’m finally a monstera parent however, I need some advice I’ve had it for 2 days now. I usually repot, clean and isolate but so far I haven’t done anything any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks
Hello! I need some help determining what is happening with my swiss cheese monstera. It was doing just fine, but over the past couple weeks, the new leaves have grown these strange, almost silver looking spots. Does anyone know what this is and how to prevent it? Thank you!
