please help đ„čđ„č i picked up this beautiful girl about a week ago off marketplace in prep for my first home and making it as green as possible. i noticed some of the leaves were yellowing/curling in so i moved it further from the window yesterday. i just got in from work and noticed more curling in and now these leaves that look as tho theyâre being eaten. is this something that happens or should i be looking at the cats (that arenât coming with me - i know monsteras can be toxic to animals). i really want to help her thrive and i feel like ive already let her down. any beginner tips and suggestions are so appreciated 𫶠edit : weâre still getting snow here in ontario so the heat is on. iâm sure that doesnât help

The before and after of the monstera that I bought from Trader Joe's. The root ball was so large it took me 45 minutes to get into it. I ended up with 3 plants from the original. I'm so proud of myself!
Hi everyone!! Before I decide to water my monsteras, I need to know if theyâre in too big of pots. I recently repotted her and she was very droopy, so I separated some of the plants and repotted them into different pots, but am worried they wonât grow or face root rot since the pots are too big. Could anyone let me know so I can repot her and give her the ability to grow?
8 days ago I repotted 2 healthy looking plants, each in a 4â pot, to a 6â pot. They looked ok for a couple days and then became sad and droopy looking. I thought maybe repot shock. Last night I thought maybe there were pests on a plant about 8â away from the Peru. It was a Pilea that has pretty much always looked rather shiđ±đ±y. Long history w/ that plant. It went to Pilea Hell last night. Checked the Perus, thought they might have white dots on them that I could wipe off. Wiped all leaves and stems with alcohol. Today it looks even âdroopierâ. Wasnât due to be watered for 4 days. Checked it and it was dry for 3 inches of the 5 inch depthâso I watered itđ€·ââïž Any thoughts or tips? Iâm not convinced that there were pests on either, but wanted to err on the side of caution. Iâve posted pic from today. It didnât look much better than this yesterday. TIA for any words of wisdom đȘŽ
My poor baby Glenn is sick. Why are his leaves looking like this? Heâs kept in in-direct sunlight, not in direct A/C flow. Any tips would be very helpful đâšđȘŽ
Why is this leaf discolored? I recently repotted her but she has been pushing out a new leaf since then. I did have her outside previously but moved her inside with a grow light because I thought she was getting too much sun outside. Could it be from too much sun or overwatering her when I repotted? I canât figure out whatâs wrong :(
Any ideas for straightening out those few leaves??
Last year, my mom and sister came to visit. My sister had gotten into plants and decided I needed to grow up and have some plants in my house. I am a convicted serial plant killer and gave up trying to keep plants alive, so I protested. I was ignored. I came home from work to find that my sister had gone to Home Depot and that there were now living breathing plants in my house, ready to be murdered. đ Diamond and her friends grew on me. Some of her friends became murder victims (cause of death: drowning), but my reformation began. Diamond is one of my surviving originals. Several weeks ago, I bottom watered Diamond and didn't realize there was still water in the bottom of her planter. I realized it when I inspected her after she kept yellowing leaves. I drained her, cut off the yellows and thought everything would be fine. I had to admit her to my plant hospital (guest bathroom tub) over the weekend. Aerial roots rotting. I'm about to unpot her and see if there is root rot and remove any dead roots in an effort to keep her alive. Wish me luck!
My new baby I just got today from Home Depot. I was only there to look at their 50% off plants (I purchased two) and I wound up with a few other plants, including this Thai constellation. đ
New to this beast. Is that normal growth (on the left)( on the right it seems normal) thank you folks!!
Can anyone help me understand why all my monsteraâs are bending at the neck ? I was on vacation for a week and didnât water as the app requested but I think the twisting of the necks started happening before I left for vacation.
I just bought my monstera few days ago and when I came home from work yesterday I saw on the leaves has some water spots, I was looking to my ceiling it might have some leaking. Is it normal to have this water on the leaves or I watering the plant too much. Thank you
My babyâs first repot! She is my first monstera and I love her! Also, that half brown leaf is like that because of needing a repot, but when should I cut it off and how? It has not gotten worse for a week and a half.
My Moms Monsters is growing so long! Maybe itâs not one? The tag said itâs a Monstera! But it grows like a Philly
My first monstera Iâve had for 2 years!! I need help on how to propagate or how to have her be the best potential she can be! Sheâs a little chaotic as Iâve tried to stop the lopsided growth, and I ordered moss poles! Any advice is welcome :)
I got this Monstera (actually 3 in one pot) from a big box roughly a month ago. I gave it some tlc and it has already pumped out 4 new leaves. Just sharing :)
My 4th monstera, my 1st âThai constellationâ đ„ł I was super excited to spot this at Walmart after waiting to stumble across one for less than $30 for the last couple of years! My monstera collection includes: - adonsonii - deliciosa - standleyana - Thai constellation What is your favorite monstera?? đ
growing sooooo goood đđđ€đœ
My girl is doing so good Iâm so happy sheâs finally getting new growth!!
I feel like I got extremely lucky with this plant. My local Walmart had several, most didnât look the greatest. In fact, as I was heading to checkout a small leaf fell off this one. I waited about two weeks before I repotted as I just got busy with life. When I pulled the nursery pot it was in out of the pot it came with, its roots were growing through the bottom of the nursery pot. đ A new leaf completely unfurled about a week ago and has 3 slits. Her first leaf with any. I cannot wait to see how big she gets. I did notice thrips on her and possible spider mites, which pushed me to repot her. Also used an insecticide and havenât noticed anymore bugs. đ€đŒ
