Hey, I got a monstera from a lady down the street. It’s a propagation so it’s not in soil yet, it has three leaves and two very big roots, the women said to leave it in water for a few months before planting it. While we were getting it situated in the pot and such it was outside. It was probably 85° outside for a few hours and it was in full sun. it got sunburned. It’s not dying and there looks to be a little bit of growth on one of the stems. I was told to clip all the sunburned leaves off but that would be all of them. We have been misting it every morning, I’ve included a picture of it. Please remember we are on a budget, so we primarily are looking for help that isn’t going to cost money. It’s currently in our house in the front room where it gets light but that side of the house is a north facing side so mostly shade. It’s an average of 72° in the house and the windows remain closed. There are also little bumps on its stem above where we cut it, I think they are roots starting to grow, but idk Thank you in advance for the help. The following is what I have questions about: 1. Do we cut all the leaves off? 2. Will that kill the plant? 3. Should we mist it more? 4. When do we plant it? 5. How do we help it grow if all its leaves are dry or burned? 6. Can aloe Vera help? 7. Does it need more light? 8. Does it need at least one leaf to get light and such? 9. Should we plant it now Or wait for new growth? 10. Should we move it to a south facing side of the house where the light is stronger but not in the direct sunlight? This is my first time with a monsters, I have over 10 other types of plants, my little sister is mainly the care taker since she primarily got it. It’s one of my dream plants so I’d like to ask about how to care for it.

Hi! We’ve just rescued a monstera and I’m unsure whether it needs to be repotted, separated or left as is. All of this plant is looking like chaos lol

Hi everyone!! 👋👋 I bought this monstera from Amazon & she’s my first plant that sparked a whole obsession. Unfortunately my 6 month of puppy got to her and did a number while we were away. (Don’t worry he’s totally ok health wise). ❤️ This is the current state of her. I have no clue what to do to get her healthier and thriving again. We have one leaf that’s been opening up for a couple weeks now but it’s already browning. Do I need to trim the empty stems off, leave her alone, anything at all? Please help, I really want to save her. 😭❤️

Hi guys!! I’ve had this monstera for over a year now and it’s had some crazy growth since I came on this app! But with the growth came extreme leaning because I was not aware of how lopsided it was getting. Does anyone have any tips on how to make the stem stronger? I’ve been trying to turn it from the light to make the leaves grow on the other side/turn; also I have been using just a little stick to hold it up so the stem doesn’t break if it falls! (The photo with the pig in it is the most recent one 😂)! Thanks so much!

Two weeks of a downward spiral may have killed my monstera. All of the roots rotted and I had them removed. I cut the one half in two for a better chance at regrowth. See previous posts, this plant was my pride and joy. Damn, depression is a cruel mistress… HELP!!!!

Hello everyone! I am looking into getting a smaller humidifier for my plants, any advice? Not sure which one to get I was looking for one that would be good with a variety of plants mostly monsteras. I recently saw a post on one of the communities where a persons humidifier was cause issues with their plants and i want to avoid that. Any ideas on a good humidifier for small spaces as well as larger spaces? Thanks in advance!!

Should I repot? Hello everyone, I recently bought this Montesera (about a month ago). It was grown taller and grown new leafs since then. When water it, I noticed roots are coming out from the bottom, as well as from the top. Should I repot? If so, what size? Currently it is in an 7 inch pot. Thank you! 💚💚💚

I have this issue with monstera leaves browning at the edges with a yellow boarder and don’t know how to fix it. If anyone has dealt with this any advice would be greatly appreciated

Monstera Repot?

I got a monstera deliciosa a few weeks ago and it is very happy with three new leaves popping through today! I have not repotted it since I got it and I noticed that there are a few roots poking through the bottom, and that the soil is compacted and barely draining. Should I repot it or wait it out?

Finally got my first Monstera Deliciosa!!! I’m so excited, I just keep staring at her 🤩 I got her with 2 new leaves already coming in and I can’t wait to see them unfurl. Does anyone have any good tips or tricks to help them grow well? She’s in my bright indirect sunlight bedroom and by S/SW windows

I bought this monstera from Lowe’s just the other day and it had a new leaf that has unfolded since then but it’s very droopy and I’m not sure why. The rest of the plant looks very happy and healthy. I bought this for a friend as a bday gift and I have to give it to her this Saturday and I would hate to give her a sad plant lol. Does anyone know what’s going on?
