Hi Monstera Maniacs!
Just wanted to post about the importance of selecting the proper pot for your plant!
I used to have my monstera standleyana in a clay pot that made it dry out too quickly & I could never keep up with watering! The plant would always droop and sometimes drop a leaf.
Now, I have it in a plastic pot with drainage holes & just look at the progress from May 21st to July 1st!
If a plant isn’t loving life in its pot, consider making a switch & you might see major improvements!

What’s wrong with my Monstera?
My dear monstera Goldberry’s leaves are curling/wilting and I’m not sure why. It’s not from under or over watering nor is it root rot. Any ideas? Thanks!

Why is this happening? It’s in direct/indirect light. Thanks guys!!

just got what i believe is a mini monstera from an old teacher of mine!! very excited because i have yet to successfully grow a plant that is not a succulent :) if anyone has any tips or suggestions about it i would love to hear. i placed a skewer in the pot (yay low-budget plant care!) to keep it upright—should i be worried about root damage? are there better alternatives to this? anyways, i’m so excited to join this community!! thanks in advance!

So I just got back from Guatemala and check the natural growing, monster Monstera. I am sorry to ruin the photo, but I was using my head as a reference. They were XL pizza-sized. #Plantzillas

Bought this guy a few days ago. Didn't look like it had been watered in about 2 weeks. It's looking rough. Got it repotted and watered yesterday. I've been spraying with insecticide as a precaution and isolating. Any advice? Should I cut the half dead leaf?

I’ve had my monstera since august of last year and he was finally just getting too big for my space so three weeks ago I split him and gave the props away to friends. Since I repotted him, he has put out 6 new leaves and is growing in a new branch where I cut one! It’s crazy how fast he grows! Before too long he will be right back to his original size! I need to add a support pole so he starts to grow more vertically so if anyone has any helpful tips they would be appreciated! The last photo was his original size and the first one is him a year later :)

I repotted her back in April/May and got a tad snip happy. I just realized that she’s actually 4 plants (I propagated the off cuts and gave them away). She’s also quite leggy. I don’t know if I should separate them now or wait til next spring. When I repotted her I also cut back some roots (she might be starting to get a little root bound).
I also don’t know if should cut her down and propagate the big bits since one of the plants I got scissor happy with is growing a new baby leaf!

She’s just the cutest… she arrived from New York today! She went across country from NY to OR so fast!

Hello! I bought my first Monstera deliciosa yesterday. It is 4 feet from my north window in a diagonal line (against west wall that has no window). It is beautiful! My question is: do I need a grow light? I love where it is and my gut feeling tells me it should be fine. Advice?

Hi all!
I need a little bit of help… I recently purchased this adansonii aurea online and it arrived yesterday. The pictures online were of the exact plant but had only the 3 variegated leaves and were in much better condition. It arrived looking pretty bad even after it was only in transit (from packed to received) less than 24 hrs. It also has 2 new leaves that seem to have reverted.
I have not contacted the seller because i don’t want to inconvenience a small business… but i paid a pretty penny for it.
Here’s where i need help, not sure if the aurea sometimes gets green leaves and will continue growing variegated leaves as it goes or if i should chop the 2 new leaves and see what happens or just take it back to the seller?
Pics below, the 2 all green leaves are also way smaller so im guessing it wasn’t kept in the best lighting conditions…
I appreciate any advice

Should I remove this discolored leaf. And if so should I cut it off right under the leaf ? Thanks !

My monstera has some sand looking stuff in the drainage holes. Should I be concerned? Her health is perfectly fine so it hasn't effected her, at least not yet.
Thank you in advance! 🪴💖✨

I bought this monstera a while ago and absolutely love it but idk what kinda variegation this would be. Is it sport or does this particular plant (variegation) have a name? Any care tips are appreciated as well :) Thanks

Hey! I have a monstera deliciosa that I haven’t really staked. It’s gotten very vine-looking and has grown several air roots. I have no idea what to do—in the picture you can see my poor attempt at staking it but I was wondering if I should remove some stems, or do a better job staking it, or another, secret third option that I haven’t found yet :) Thanks!
