My adansonii looked super happy and had all kinds of new growth and new leaves, but overnight some leaves turned yellow. What happened?!? (I only have north facing windows, so I use lots of grow lights.)

I was gifted a baby monstera for my birthday this year. I’ve been very nervous about keeping her alive and happy; but this morning I noticed what I believe is the start of her first air root! What an excellent way to start the weekend! 🌱 🪴

My monstera adansonii is growing like crazy and seems happy, but I’m noticing stalks that are becoming hollowed out. Is this plant slowly dying? Is there something I can do to prevent this from spreading?

Ariel roots on Monsteras? Getting a miss feed on what to do. If I have a lower Ariel root what will happen if I let it go down into the dirt since it’s in the middle of my plant now?? I know some just let them hang over the edge of the pots. That being said my plant is younger like only 7 leaves. Can you cut Ariel roots if they get long and ugly in length or just really let them root into the soil!!! Many responding to this would be appropriated.

Hello everyone! My Monstera is doing great, healthy leaves, a new one opening soon and one on the way. One leaf though (one of the oldest) has brown spots on the edge, I even cut it out from the bigger leaf but it’s coming back now. What do you all think? Should I just cut the leaf from its base? What does it indicate for the health of the entire plant? Thank you to whoever will help!

Teach me about aerial roots!! What do I do with them? Are they supposed to eventually reach soil?

Hello! I recently got this Monstera (his name is Harry) and he wasn’t in the best shape!! I haven’t owned a Monstera before either, so hoping for some tips on how to get this bad boy to his full potential! I repotted him on the day I got him and now have him roughly 4-5 feet away from the window. Parts of him were dying and beginning to fall off when I got him but he’s starting to rebound!

This is my first monstera… i got this from lowe’s (almost a month ago) and some of the leaves were in bad shape, so i cut those off. another leaf is much smaller and looks cut off, but i kept that one on because it was a sturdy leaf. Anyway, I noticed one of the roots to that odd leaf has become very soft and seems dead. Should I cut this leaf off or any other suggestions? I also wonder if it’s in too big of a pot. The roots seemed root bound when i first go it, so i did knock off some of the dirt and tried to separate the roots the best i could (picture attached was when i first got the plant) Any advice helps!
