Hello! Iâm a very new plant owner, I got a Monstera from an online store. It was wet when I got it (2 weeks ago) and I havenât watered it yet, just misted it. And I havenât repotted it. Today I noticed some dark spots on the leaves as well as some yellow/brown spots close to the base. Any ideas on what is going on?

Hi all, đđ»
So this is my first monstera and I absolutely love it. I noticed the little guy that is poking out of the pot today from the plant (picture below). Should I be concerned that the pot is too small and this is a root? Or do we think itâs new growth?
I donât love the idea of repotting in the winter but, I will for the sake of this beauty!
Thanks for all your help everyone!

First new leaf on my monstera in a few months, after almost falling victim to thrips! Itâs been very happy since I transferred it to LECA about 2 weeks ago, and moved it to the window to get more light.

I just brought a new Monstera and itâs so beautiful. There are some exposed roots and Iâm wondering if this is okay or if I should do something about it. Iâm not sure if they are aerial roots or not but any suggestions or input is appreciated đ

I recently got a Monstera and noticed itâs starting to get brown spots on a couple of the leaves. I donât really know much about plants, so I have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it

Good morning I hope all is well with everyone. Just want to show my appreciation to the couple that advise me on a moss pole and the glow light all can be found on Amazon. My Lil monstera is growing new leaves . I cut of the brown leaves. Still giving it my attention. Thank you.

Late night repotting since i finally have my diy moss pole ready⊠iâm hoping i donât regret this. A few months ago I had the mistake of re-potting my monstera straight to a ceramic pot⊠It was such a struggle removing it without breaking anything, currently trying to loosen up her roots. Wish me luck.

To repot or not to repot? I feel like my monstera is getting a little big for its pot. Might be hard to tell in the photo, but itâs in a 10in diameter plastic pot in a 14in diameter planter. I last watered a couple days ago, but some leaves are still kinda wrinkly. Lots of sources say best time to repot is late winter, so just wanting to see what people think undergoing it. Much appreciation, from a new plant mom.

So like maybe 4 months ago or more my 3 year old, then 2yo, tried to destroy this leaf on my monstera but I splinted it lol and itâs still thriving months later. Not sure if I will ever be able to take that splint off so maybe I should just let the leaf go but idk if I can do it

Disregard the dry holes and scratches.
I noticed about two days ago some yellowing of one of the original leaves (in hand). Every other leaf is near perfect and my newest keeps growing with an aerial root. Iâve gone from 4 to 10 within the past year in just water.
Iâve just removed some dead roots and replaced the water. Am I good?

So I had my monstera since June 2023 and started to grow them in water around August 2023 once i noticed a lot of browning. I recently had to cut two new baby leafs as they came in yellow and brown around the edges but two new ones recently popped up that looks decent. Itâs been really dark, cold and raining in houston so sun is not on my side. Iâve been thinking about putting them back in soil and purchasing a small grow light but iâm not sure anymore. The picture on the left is from September and the right picture is the most recent one from November. This would be my second monstera that dies and iâm trying so hard but iâm unsure at the moment. Any advice?

Hi all! Looking for some advice. My monstera roots are starting to grow through the drainage holes in its existing pot which is about 12â in diameter and 12-14â deep (plastic).
Should I look to repot in a larger pot? I use Leca as the medium and curious if any of you have a similar set up and suggestions on the next pot type and size. Help please đ€
