Is this the right way to keep the moss pole moist? I soaked it yesterday when I first installed it and it dried up within 24 hours. This is my first time with actually using a moss pole. The water in the bottle seems to empty itself within 10 minutes of filling it regardless of if I shove it firmly into the moss or not

advice needed!!!!! i'm in zone 10a central florida, and my thai con has been chopped because it was etiolating while in front of a west window. i don't have a grow light large enough for it, and no south facing windows, so outside it goes. i have two patios, one east and the other southwest, both of which receive more than 5 hours of direct sunlight a day. what should the acclimation process look like? i've moved it to a completely shaded spot on the east patio today after the sun set so it has some time to adjust to the heat and humidity before morning, is that the right move? how long until i can start introducing a few hours of early morning sun? i can't find an in-depth guide, nobody makes them for direct sun in zones 10-12 because they "can't handle it", which i think is total malarkey considering i see deliciosas in my neighbor's yards that bake in the sun all day and love it. any tips appreciated

Hey Everyone 👋 , hope everyone is doing good 😊 .... I have a question & maybe some advice .... I got these 2 Monsteras from my cousin ... She had them for about 10-15 yrs .... The roots were so rootbound I could not believe it ... The big one was still in its original pot .... I cut them down so I would just start over & root them .... Well now the rest of the pot I left outside on my deck ... Now I noticed they are growing also ... I took the biggest one out ,so I rinsed it ... I will post pictures of it all .... Should I trim down the roots & repot ?

Had my first Monstera a few weeks now and loving it so far. Been reading up and talking to the AI on here, it’s saying that next to the window is better than in the corner, will this make a difference or are both just as good as each other, as neither are direct sunlight (apart from that tiny speckle)

Hey, it’s me again! I was watering my girl today. When I noticed she has gnats, is it the soil or am i overthinking it? Or how do you suggest getting rid of them? Thanks in advance!

Monsters Update: 1. I transferred Betsy into soil and a pot this week! I gave her a left over orchid trellis as a stake since that was the smallest stick I could sing for her. I changed her settings in planta and it said that I needed to water her today, but I’m pretty sure that it’s too early since I watered her when she was put into soil. I tried to fix the watering schedule, but was unable to find a way to adjust it, so if anyone has any way to fix this please give me some advice. Her newest leaf also fully unfurled and is about twice the size of her previous leaves I believe, so hopefully she’ll have some fenestrations soon. 2. I got my second monstera today! It’s a Thai constellation from Home Depot. I got a smaller, immature one since they were the healthiest of the Thais, but it already has a hole in it! I moved it into some fresh soil since the soil it was in was a bit too wet and heavy for my liking and I gave it a good watering. It’s been treated for any pests it might have (I didn’t see any) and is now living out a week long quarantine before joining the other plants. His name is Clarence.

He just wouldn’t leave that leaf!!! Was there for nearly 3 full days!!! I wore my leaf cleaning gloves and successfully evicted him to the wild. Felt good watching him scurry away to find his much needed next meal!🪴🦎🤗

all right team, my newest leaf on my Monstera just popped out some varigation, which is so extremely fun! However, it is also now touching the ceiling.… It’s growing on a moss pool with two stems, but one is shorter than the other. I’m gonna chop and prop it at some point but want to get at least three mature Monstera’s out of chopping it. I also really want to encourage the varigation growth! Anyone have any recommendations?
