Hi! So I found this beautiful monstera Thai at Walmart! (Can you believe it?!) anyway, she was kinda beat up and I havenât done absolutely nothing to it .. no repotting or cleaning .. but I was wondering if you guys think I should cut most of her leaves off and start new? Or should I just repot? Iâve never done that so Iâd need help to start if thatâs what you guys recommend lol thank you!

hey so i am new to indoor plants as of last summer and i got my first monstera from walmart a week ago and had to drive it home 4 hours and waited awhile after to repot (w normal soil and tall/skinny draining pot since i know they like to be snug). the monstera was obviously stressed so i have it under an east facing window and a bright grow light (2ft away) for 9 hours a day. I do spray it with water once a day to keep up humidity along with a constant humidifier maybe 6 ft away. she just got a dark blackish brown spot on a main leaf and i am wondering if i should be concerned for any pests or fungus. mainly if i should segregate it from my other plants nearby (i have pothos, snake plant, english ivy, and alocasia). some of those were rescues, so you may see a crispy leaf or 2 in the photosđ . please lmk if i am overreacting or not, thanks! any any tips would be appreciated.
Hey guys I need some tips for a Swiss monstera, I have it in a chunky soil mix and I keep it humid, it has good lighting but it slowly turns yellow then brown. When I got it, it was full and healthy, I got it from Loweâs. Then after a few weeks I noticed it started to die. I took it out of the soil they had potted it in, and put it into water to help it root. I also took some clippings. All were thriving in water, once they got roots I planted them into two different pots with chunky soil. One is looking more yellow, and the other is starting to turn yellow. One had a pothos planted with it because I read that they helps them grow. Iâm not sure what to do. I can post pictures of them in the comments I donât have any currently. The pictures on plant currently are from when I got it. It had good drainage and has gotten new leafs but is turning yellow. What do I do? And give any tips you can think ofđ my other monstera is thriving, and itâs in normal soil so Iâm so lost..
Hi!! Does anyone know whatâs up with my monstera/what I can do? Recently repotted to a bigger pot as the roots were growing out the bottom, but hasnât improved. (faded/veiny leaves, droopy, no new growth)
Thought Iâd share my monstera aureaâs newest leaf before, during and after hardening off!!
Top cutting this, bottom cutting that. Iâm gonna buy seeds. đ
Monstera has too many younglings and growing out of control. I am not sure if I should cut the young leaves or separate the plant and repot them? I want it to grow vertically with fenestrated leaves
Hey would you say that she needs reporting? I've had to tie her with string because she hangs over massively my cats already knocked a stem off her đ
Hi! My husband got my my first Monstera, and itâs a Thai - yay! I have since repotted and given a mix of tropical soil and perlite, but the ends of the leaves are still a bit curled in and the newest leaf is still looking limp. It came this way, but I was hoping it would improve at this point (2 weeks post re-pot). Is this just how they look, or is it missing something? It gets about 8 hours of light per day via grow light.
Hiiii! Does anyone know whatâs going on with her? Iâve had her for about 4 years now, not seeing new leaves, theyâve started to brown and crisp at edges and yellow. Iâve had to remove fully yellow leaves too. Repotted her last month, has drainage. Please someone help me save her idk what Iâm doing wrong! Thank you smđ±đ©· xoxo Katie

New leaf on my monstera Thai conđ
My Monstera is all bent out of shape. How can I make it grow upright again, if possible ? My sister said the pot is too small ?? Help.
Hey yâall! I neglected this poor dude so now Iâm trying to figure out how to save him. I would love to get back to a fuller plant. Should I cut the stem and propagate? Will that kill him? Any suggestions would be great!
I picked up this little Thai Con at Walmart for $25. I tried to get them to mark it down more because his two biggest leaves had snapped and were hanging on by a thread, but the cashier wasn't having it. So I took him home anyways and cut off the broken leaves, treated him for pests and repotted him. This is my first monstera and I'm worried I've already made some mistakes. I plan to change the substrate soon, after learning how prone they are to root rot. I did mix the potting mix VERY heavy with pearlite but I fear it's not enough. I plan to repot in LECA once I get my hands on some. I think the pot he is too large as well. He is getting filtered light from both an east and south facing window. Any thoughts/opinions on what else I should do/change to be successful? It's taken me a lot of courage to get a plant with this much potential. My gateway plant was a moth orchid followed by calatheas and other various tropical dudes. Should I wait to change substrate since I just repotted him? I'm just so anxious about the root rot. Thanks in advance for any advice/opinions.
My monstera has been growing great! But I noticed thereâs bugs living in the soil. No big deal, spring tails, a few worms, itâs a huge pot filled with dirt from outside soil bags. But, I found a few centipedes/ millipedes living in there, Iâm not quite sure what they are. Iâm worried about my plants health, will they do anything?
I have been wanting one of these for a bit. But couldn't find quite the right one. But so so cute! đđ„° was in the mail longer than expected, but seems okay
She looks so shiny!
