HELP!!! I’ve just got rid of thrips on my monstera after a recent infestation- I’ve assumed these black spots are from the infestation but want to check before finally clearing him to mingle with the rest of my plants! 🌱 Any ideas as to what else this could be from? And whether these black spots are here to stay now??

Can anyone explain this variegation on my monstera leaf?

Just staked up my bush of a Monstera on to some moss poles for the first time. I recently inherited a Thai constellation and got it set up on a moss pole, and it perked up so fast that I knew I needed to get my big monstera on them. I’ve had her for about 4 years. She was just a tiny thing when I got her from a nursery. I make my little fairy garden in her pot base since it’s so big. Over 5ft tall 22 inch pot

I went away on vacation a week ago and my poor monstera got overwatered while in the care of a family member :( Only this leaf and a baby one that turned yellow seem to have been affected. The brown one is standing tall and there seems to be a new leaf growing on its stem but the bottom of it is browning already. I have brought it out on my 4 season patio to hopefully dry out the soil enough to help it get back to normal. It seems to be working so far, I have about half an inch of soil dried out along the sides of the pot already. I was wondering if I should I be cutting this leaf off? Or do I wait some more to see if it’ll come back? This is my first time owning a monstera so I am so so grateful to receive any help for you guys! Thanks in advance!!

AHHH I’m so excited! My monstera produced one of the biggest leaves yet 🥹 it’s been going crazy (6 new leaves since I bought it in March) and this last one that fully opened is bigger than my hand!

My Leafy Life

Hi, I'm new to this group. I was given a Monstera as a gift a year or so ago. I was told the leaves won't split until it matures. How long does it take to mature? I didn't know these needed to be pruned. How often do I need to do that?

LadyBeeeeee

Should I split and separate this guys up? I will be cleaning him up and repotting in a few day, just can’t decide if I want to make more 🌱

Hi everyone! I just moved to a new city and was finally able to bring Monty (my monstera) down after about a month. I repotted him 4 days ago because he was extremely root-bound—and with all the recent rain, I also wanted to give him chunkier, better-draining soil. I know he still needs more soil (I ran out while repotting all my plants), but I’ve noticed a few things and could use some advice. While I was gone, he pushed out several new leaves, but none of them are fenestrated. I also noticed a lot of small leaves clustered at the base that seem to have maxed out in size. I know he’s overdue for a good pruning, but I’ve never pruned a plant before. How should I go about it, and is there anything specific I should keep in mind for a monstera? I’ve included some pictures of what he looks like now. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys can anyone tell me how my monstera is doing? I’m thinking super well but just wanting to be sure? I also repotted her and gave her a better soil mix

I’m pretty sure my monstera has root rot, just by some of the leafs and the new leaf that was coming in that I had to cut off. But what do I do to fix it, I just got this plant not even a month ago and the is my first plant with root rot. So what do I do?

Hi there, I'm a new plant mum to a Monstera called Betty. I have uploaded some photos and as you will see I have some dark spots on some leaves and then a little white spot on another. I have purchased a moss pole for support and some clips so I will attend to that soon enough. However I'm just wondering what the dark bits are and if I'm killing it? I've only had her for a week watered once but not too much and soil does feel dryish, I'm just worried about over watering too 😩😩 ah who knew plants could cause so much panic 🙈🙈 also I know the actual pot itself is too small, her nursery pot had a ridge and didn't fit! I'm getting her a terracotta 😊
