Update on my sad monstera: I took it out of its pot and found that the soil was too wet (possibly because it rained last night) but I’m not sure. I washed off the roots and found that most were rotten, so I chopped off all of the rotten parts back to healthy roots. Dipped the root ends in some cinnamon and now I’m letting it dry for a few hours. I’m thinking that I might regrow the roots in water, but I’m not sure. Any advice on how to get it healthy again?

Amazing find at the nursery today! A baby mint monsterašŸŒæšŸŒ±šŸ¤ It’s already got two pretty good looking aerial roots going on! I’m gonna add a little bamboo skewer for now to try and offer it support as it grows and teach it to grow upward, as well as try to encourage more of those aerial roots. Once it gets bigger I am going to add a moss pole but for now I think it might be too small. Will update on her progress later onšŸ’š

I need some help with my monstera. I placed it outside a couple of weeks ago because of the warmer weather and bright sun. I’m trying to get it to have new growth and make fenestrations. Ever since I’ve placed it outside one of the leaves has been droopy and it’s looked a little sad. I first thought it was just stress related to moving but it hasn’t looked better. I don’t know if it’s still lacking light or not enough water? I watered it yesterday and it didn’t perk up at all. I know it’s probably ready to be moved further into the sun, but I don’t want to scorch its leaves.

Any reason my monstera decided to toss out a leaf backwards? I’ve had it about two years and it’s never lost a leaf or had issues but this one isn’t as fenestrated and is facing the back of the plant as pictured below

Hi guys! I just got a free ā€˜rehab’ monstera albo and I’m not sure how to care for it. It had yellowing drooping leaves from the outside in, the stems were pretty hard/firm which I thought was initially under watered because the soil was very dry. When I inspected the roots I found it had around 6 inches of its main stem in the soil with 4 aerial roots. The very bottom of the stem had rotted a bit due to it being so deep into the soil. I cut all the rotted parts away and propagated each root into a 4 inch pot, and put the top cutting into water. I have never propagated a monstera before so I’d appreciate any advice! Thank you

Hi everyone, does anyone know the name of this monstera? It looks like Vietciosa but I'm not sure. Grew from tissue culture. Thank you!

My monstera’s vine broke off!! It was not in good shape. It is 4 years old with no fenestrations. Will it grow back but more healthy?

I’ve just joined this group to share my monstera energy with besides my friends/family who are less than enthusiastic šŸ˜†. I’m caring for a 2 year old Thai Con. A week ago we switched her from a large planter w coco pole to a smaller pot w a moss pole. Growth had been stagnant since January 2026 so after some research I made the change! Please meet my little lady

Hello! Just looking for some advice on Monsterra support/poles, as I’ve seen many with them. My Monsterra is getting quite big and wanted to start thinking/planning for future growth. I have two main 2 questions: - When do you know your Monsterra is ready for a support/pole. - what is the best form of support for a Monsterra?

Heather

Well, I just repotted my girl…. I’m nervous of how she will do. I got a live moss pole and I’m not too sure about it…. It makes the pot very top heavy and how do you keep the moss moist? It came with a water reservoir on top, I just don’t see how water dripping will keep the whole thing moist. Also, I got soil for monstera plants, but it seems like it holds on to water too much. Cross my fingers she does well!!!! She’s only two years old but I love her.

So, today I’m going to be reporting my girl. There are 3 vines, I’m nervous about the best way to do this without damaging her or breaking anything off. I’m also adding a live moss pole she can grab on to. Right now she is in a 6 inch pot, and I’m putting her into an 8 inch pot. I hope that isn’t too big. It’s the only pot I could find that wasn’t outrageously expensive. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!!
