I just got this monstera esqueleto. What are these?? They’re hard don’t move… eggs of some sort?

So, I water propagated this monstera. I had a great root ball so I planted it! When I first planted her she had two leaves. Needless to say, she’s been happy and growing like crazy! The only problem is the new baby I have growing on the side. The first leaf was successful but this new little one has a crispy end and seems to be having a hard time opening up. Should I chop it at the base? Or just pull off the dead part on the end?

Monstera Aurea Hi! Bought this from an online seller. And it showed up in pretty rough shape two weeks ago. The leaves were brown when I got it. Should I clip the left one? Still in the original 8” pot it came in. I really love it and want to help it thrive. But I’m so nervous about doing anything! She’s about 2 1/2 feet from an east facing window. I run a humidifier for her off and on throughout the day. And then she gets grow lights for several hours in the evening that are on the other side of the room from her. Any help would be appreciated!

So, it’s been 1.5 years since I got a cutting from a friend! The cutting on my had two leaves, and water propagated it during January 2024! It took roughly 3months for it to gain considerable roots, and the real journey began! Now, I have my first inner-hole fenestration! I was so excited to see the first fenestration, but so more excited when I saw an inner hole fenestration recently!! 😃 But throughout my journey, here are some tips for others (especially for those who are new to plants)! 1. Slowly increase the sunlight!! I stated with indirect light and now my monstera takes full-direct-west-facing light! Yeah, it doesn’t burn (and it’s summer!)! 2. Make sure to keep the pot small! As in, the roots should be pretty snug in the pot! I used a 6” pot for an entire year before repotting to a 10” pot! I guess, the size does kinda depend on the size of the stake you have… Anyway, the alleged science is that the plant will focus on making leaves than growing roots! 3. A grow light can help! Especially, if the place you have doesn’t have sufficient light! 4. Water your plant when it’s dry! This is so common advice, but it’s easy to fall off a routine over months or years. 5. Fertilize during growing seasons!! And don’t expect growth during winter; the plant goes dormant! Nothing is wrong! If anyone wants more details about each step of the journey, then I can share a video! It goes through my process in good detail! :)

Mona, my monstera, just opened up a new leaf and she is looking so full and gorgeous!! I can’t get over it. 😍😍 She started as a leaf cutting gifted to me from my mother-in-law.

I’m going to be repotting my beautiful monstera tomorrow but I’m unsure what to do about the extra roots that are outside of the soil - do I bury them in the new soil or leave them as they are or cut them? Also any recommendations on what type of soil I should repot it in?

Can anyone suggest? It’s got slightly damp soil but not wet, not fully dry. I got this 3 weeks ago and repotted.

So I bought this Thai Con a few weeks ago. It was on sale because of its condition and was hoping I could bring it back. I’ve given it some chunkier soil and been careful not to overwater but I’m not sure if I should cut this damaged leaf off. And the nursery has cut a different stem and wasn’t sure if that has stunted its growth. Any tips?

Welllll, Sponge Bob has an entirely new routine and setup. He’s no longer a soil baby! I spent the past 2-3 weeks acclimating him to tank water only and gently removing his soil roots as he melted them off… oooof those water roots came in so good and strong and now he lives happily in the big tank as part of the waterfall feature😍 (Side note, please excuse the rehab plants in the picture, throwing a failing plant in the tank is my “cure all last ditch” trick🤭)

🚨URGENT HELP NEEDED🚨 My monstera adansonii albo is showing browning at the edges of the leaf, particularly in the variegated parts. Last night it was concerning, now it’s starting to become disconcerting. It’s happening super fast! The browning is surrounded by somewhat transparent outline, with the dried up parts further in the affected areas. Out of the 8 leaves, only 2 are unaffected, and the two sprouting leaves seem to be fine (hopefully). This plant is 3ft from a grow light. I also recently used sphagnum moss on the top layer, which promptly grew molds, so i removed them, and replaced with perlite/activated charcoal/aqua soil mixture. The soil i’m using is a succulent substrate in which the plant was happy in until it moved to my place. I also repotted it in a self-watering pot, similar to where it was first planted, but prettier. At the moment my house is at 70% humidity, and I haven’t even done anything to get there. It’s just what god intended for Dubai. Although the humidifiers are on the way to lessen the fluctuations as I am finicky when it comes to my AC. Could it be the common molds affecting the variegation? Could it be water imbalance? Maybe the grow light bouncing off the wall and compounding the heat output? Is it stress of moving houses? Thanks in advance for your help! Happy to share more details that i may have missed.

I’m repotting my monstera. Which size is best, 6” (terracotta pic) or 8”? It’s been in the 6” for over 2 years and I need new soil, it seems like it’s still the best size, right?
