Hey all! I just got my dream/1st Monstera today and have been doing some research into the care for it. I will be getting a stake for it soon once I have it repotted. I think she needs to be repotted soon as some of the roots are getting a little visible. Any tips on care for a 1st time monstera owner? I'm located in Colorado with eastern facing windows!

Repotted my big monstera last week. Do you think I should be worried about the slight yellowing on her stem? And one of her leaves is pointing upwards. Is this normal and healthy? I’ve already reduced the amount of time the grow light is on.

I thought Monty the Monstera wasn’t gonna make it, but she pulled a fast one me. Every watering I chant: I welcome your new growth, Child of earth and sky, Stretch wide, drink deep, Your beauty will not die. So proud of my beautiful girl!

Any idea why new leaves look so different? *backstory below* two super weird (SUPER cool!!) new leaves my monstera popped out! This one was a ā€˜zombie plant’ for the longest time (zero new growth for 4/5 months, no nodes in sight) then all of a sudden… those two super different leaves grew randomly just out of the soil!

Can someone please explain to me what’s going on with my plant? All of her baby leaves at the bottom are yellowing, which is normal. But what are these little brown spots? What am I doing wrong? She’s pushing out new growth and she seems pretty healthy

The Schuyler Sisters! - Angelica, Peggy, Eliza I got three gorgeous young monstera plants from BWH today. They are a Thai constellation, a deliciosa and an adansonii. I can’t believe how healthy they are when they arrive via UPS.

Look at the beautiful monsteras I saw today at Rhoad gardens in bucks county. They were almost $200 though so out of my budget!

What’s the best moisture meter sensor? I’d like to purchase one but there are so many options I don’t know what to get.

I have this beautiful Monstera, and I recently separated a smaller section to repot on its own since the stems looked a bit weak or leggy. I placed it in front of a window with bright, indirect light in a warm room. It’s still producing new leaves, but the plant looks a bit messy, with stems going in different directions. How can I help it grow sturdier and look more upright? Thanks

My Thai Constellation is starting to get brown tips on one of his leaves. Is not crunchy. What could be causing this? He did just grow out of his previous spot on my shelf, he was getting to close to the grow light, so I moved him to a different location about a week ago. His soil is also hydrophobic, and I just started bottom watering with organic fertilizer to hopefully avoid repotting him. Could any of that be related?

HELP!! I saved this monstera adansonii about a month ago now. I had to remove all the leaves and I changed the soil. It’s starting to put out new shoots and leaves but I’m worried about the little yellow spots. Does anyone know what’s causing this/ how to treat it? Thank you!

Hey guys šŸ‘‹šŸ» I’m going to be transferring my swiss cheese into a terracotta pot soon. Do you think it’s ready? And should I get a pole for it?

Hi! I was hoping for some input on the monstera Thai con I picked! (bought for $60) In the store there were two monsteras I was torn between: 1. *the one I bought* Had a LOT of white on two big stems (both stems were 1/2 green, 1/2 full white) BUT the leaves weren’t asssss white as the second one. Also had fenestrations but some of the leaves there were only fenestrations on one side of the leaf. Zero inner fenestrations, only outer. 2. *did NOT buy* Had all green stems (except for a little bit of white speckling) however the leaves seemed to have more white on them (leaves were also bigger so could’ve *seemed* like more white simply due to larger surface area). Had nice inner and outer fenestrations and were a bit bigger. I included close up images of the one I picked plus a side by side of the two plant options (one I did NOT buy is Xed out) I would love my plans to have a lot of white parts (of course) but also be nice with inner & outer fenestrations. Did I make the correct choice (the 1st plant)? - I might go back and change them tomorrow if comments say otherwise haha!

HELP! First time I’ve ever seen mold on any of my plants. Just went to water my recently repotted monstera and it has mold on it. What should I do? The big spot is from the bottom of the moss pole. I repotted on July 17 and last watered it 3 weeks ago so it was definitely dry between watering. Do I need to repot? A huge leaf grew in that time so I thought I was doing something right! THANK YOU!

HELP!!! I went out of town for 10 days and returned to my monstera yellowing! A little detail: normally he sits on my night stand on a southern facing window. (Planta says it is too sunny but he has ever had an issue and has been pushing leaves like crazy since I got him.) Since I didn’t want my house sitter having to hunt down all of the plants I consolidated them into two rooms. He went into the east facing dining room window) He was watered before we left and again 7 days later. He was also lightly misted as usual midway between each watering). I returned home to see seriously yellowing in a lot of the lower leaves. The soil doesn’t feel overly wet but I am wondering if he got too much water because he didn’t dry out as well in the eastern window? Or did he not get enough light? Or is there something else wrong with him? He is showing no signs of pests and I have moved him back to the bedroom but don’t know what else to do. He is my first monstera and my favorite plant! (Photo below is after returning home and photos in plant tag show how wonderful he looked a week before we left. 😭) ANY and ALL advice appreciated and welcomed.
