My newest leaf came out on my baby monstera & she is gorgeous! Think I might have to change her name after this leaf lol 🤣 after all she had a temp name till I figured her out and boooooy did she take a while to figure out lol 🤣

I introduced these 2 little guys yesterday. Mike Wazowski (4” pot) is right next to Pinky (in a 2” pot). My question for y’all: how big will Mikey grow? Will he be a vine that I’ll need to corral like my philodendron? Inquiring minds (at least mine) wants to know😊

I inherited this monstera from someone. It already had some browning on all of the leaves, but the new leaves in the middle just popped up so I am hopeful! It has been permitted to grow horizontal but I was hoping to start his vertical journey. I have some moss poles on hand, but I am not sure how to coax it into a vertical position when the stems have gotten so used to growing outward. Any suggestions for how to gradually support vertical growth? Also please offer any advice for addressing the brown-tipped leaves and preventing this in the future!

Hey folks, finally got a Thai con! Feel like I'm the last one haha. What does everyone recommend grow light timing wise? I've read online that 12 hours in the winter is necessary, but it's summer right now and the monstera is sort of adjacent to a window that provides enough light for a low light plant (I had a thriving pothos there before. I don't want to burn the leaves or burn up my electricity bill!

is it time for a moss pole? my pride and joy monstera named big cheese is starting to become very top heavy, and it seems to be growing multiple new leaves a week. i have a pole but it’s too big for the current pot, and it hasn’t even been a full year since it was last repot yet. do i invest in a pole that fits in this pot, or wait until it’s been long enough for a repot?

Will my thai con start to climb this coir pole? I took a bit too long to introduce the pole, but hoping it will start growing up now?

Did I do this right? It’s my first time. I couldn’t find the long strand moss so I ended up with 60% sphagnum peat moss, 20% perlite and 20% orchid bark.

Howdy plant people! This is my first monstera I’ve gotten from a clearance rack as part of an anniversary gift! Any tips? I haven’t touched him at all yet, just brought him home and am waiting for his soil to dry out a bit before giving him a chunkier mix! I’m a bit concerned his new leaf is already drooping so much. I’ve always been scared to get one because we live in Colorado and in a pretty dim house so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks :)

Hi all, I posted a while ago about my monstera clippings not shedding the brown sheath. I left it and yesterday 2 months later I decided to pull it off gently. This has actually revealed a growing stem that was trapped beneath it. When it first came out it had the black dead spike (pictured) but that fell off instantly and now it looks like this. What shall I do?

Meet Cassie, my first and only! 😍 Went ALL IN on this beauty of a Thai Con about a month ago and just gave her her first bamboo pole to climb. Seems to like her new home so far 🤞; potted in terracotta with Rosy’s Aroid + some amendments. She just makes me happy and wanted to share the love 🥹 Hope you’re all having a very planty weekend! 🪴

Pot is 1 ft wide, separating my 3 monstera deliciosa. Pay attention class! When you buy a monstera plant from a box store it’s usually 3-5 separate plants in one pot. Separate them! This is what happens when you repot once at the 1 year mark but don’t separate… and then wait like another 4 years to actually address the issue and separate everyone. Do not let this be you! When I decided I was going to repot them this summer, each plant decide to push out a new leaf at different rates so I had to wait until everyone was finished… just to have my baby rip one of the new leaves 🙃 oh well. I’m trying to rehome some so hopefully they go somewhere good. The roots ended up being 4 ft long when I held it up. In separating I accidentally broke off 3 base nodes so now I guess I have 6 plants.

She’s my first! I love her! Any tips?
