I just brought this monstera home that I bought off someone local for $25, not even really sure what’s going on here! I have two monsteras, and simple deliciosa and an Adansonii. I have tons of different pothos, some snake plants, and others. So I’m somewhat educated, but not totally. I’ve just never seen one look like this, but the main roots are clearly very strong and established. Are the long hanging ones dead? Should I leave them or cut them off? Did I get a bad deal here, i still feel like even the 5 good leaves are worth it, but they look like they’re yellowing also. Should I cut out the yellowing? Or leave it? I know I need to repot, but do you guys have any guidance? I have several pot options or I can go out tomorrow and find something specific, and I also have an extra 2ft adjustable moss pole. If there’s anything else you feel like would be helpful to mention, please share!! Thanks for the help in advance, I really need it!

New-er to plants (about a year now). Grabbed this propagation from my local plant shop and just curious on the best way to get it to root? I bought three other props from my store a few weeks ago and have had no root growth (hoya, philodendron and a pothos). All have been in water and getting direct sunlight, in glass containers. I did buy sphagnum moss and made a moss pole for another plant but unsure how to store my extra or if i can just drop all my props in it and call it a day. SOS

Hello fellow Monstera Maniacs! I’m new to the world of Monstera. I just moved and one of my Monstera leaves tragically snapped off during the process. I see this little nub growing at the base of the broken leaf. Any insight on what it is or what it will grow into? All insight is welcome! Thanks! :)

Does my monstera look happy? To me she looks droopy, I have her in a south facing window she gets about 3 to 4 hours of direct light, she looks sad to me.

Wish me luck! Just potted up wet stick propagation monstera albo. Mix of about 10% potting mix, 20% orchid mix, 30% perlite and 30% peat.

Do Monstera roots normally grow extremely fast? This was a just a cutting in November and now it's already out growing the planter. Should I go up more than 2 sizes or is that going to get me in trouble with potential root rot? Right now she is in a six inch pot.

Finally got my hands on one of my dream plants today! My local plant shop had this one and a few others for $125, which I thought was a pretty good deal. I own mostly tropical plants, but if there’s anything I should do differently/additionally please leave any tips you have!

Absolutely love my Monstera! She’s only one stem but she is putting out the new growth!

A friend of mine’s cutting out a piece of their monsters that’s hanging out of the pot to propagate and give it to me. was wondering if anyone knew how long this might take? I’m new to monsteras so any tips would also be appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

A whole year of monstera growth! Hoping as it gets sunnier again she’ll perk up and grow some new leaves! Anyone else notice less growth in the colder darker months? -trying to avoid buying a growlight as she’s so close to a window and has a skylight above her!

My monstera adansonii was doing well but all of a sudden the leaves started curling with light, thing spots developing on the leaves. I haven’t changed anything, any tips?

So like I know that new leaves often are a lighter color but my monstera has been trying to push out this leaf for a while and it seems to have turned light yellow? (It’s not detached from the base yet)

So…. I repotted my Monstera and added 2 cuttings that were growing un water, and managed to put one of them backwards 🤦🏻‍♀️😅 Do I need to repot correctly, or do you think the plant will figure it out? 😂 The plant is always facing the same way, and has three sources of light (small grow lamp on the front/left, grow bulb on the top/left, south window giving some light on the right of the plant).

I need a little help. I am a newbie to Monsteras and I have one that is in a corner of my living room. It is the only place I have for it and I am concerned about the lack of light. Has anyone had luck with grow lights and using them on Monsteras? I'm wondering which lights are best and how long each day do I use them. Thanks in advance for any advice.

As much as I want to be a plant person, I just have a black thumb. I have seriously lost so many plants, despite trying my hardest. BUT - I got my Thai Constellation Monstera over 2 years ago as a tiny, single sprout, and look at her now!🥲

hey I’m looking to get another monstera (I have a Swiss cheese rn) and I was wondering what other should I get. I would prefer something a little more compact and beginner-intermediate level. thanks!

I officially have 3 new leaves! I’ve had to rotate my plant around toward the sun in order to have her be less heavy on one side when I water! I do in fact need to repot her soon and would love some tips and tricks in how to do that. I’m planning on getting a larger pot and will need to get some more dirt (although I’m not sure what’s best). I am planning on putting in moss poles but am a little nervous about harming her in the report. Any insight would help!
