Got him about a week ago … no idea what I’m doing but I did see something about a moss pole? Should I just get him one now so he has support ?

My monstera babies are showing signs of getting ready to make new leaves! Some of their current leaves are a bit droopy, though. They are planted in soil and leca with good drainage with bright indirect light (when the sun comes out!) and I think I’m watering appropriately. Any thoughts?

Just got a obliqua Peru. Does anyone have experience with them? Are they really that hard to care for? I have mine sitting next to a humidifier but I don’t wanna set the humidity too high

Hello. I know i have been posting a lot recently about the health off my plants but I have another problem; My Swiss cheese plant is yellowing and it has brown areas. As you can see in the photos, it has some leaves with crispy brown edges and some with soft brown spots. The soft spots are newer - I just noticed them today. I looked up what might be causing the yellowing but it was very vague. I recently watered it so the soil is still a little damp on the top. It is about ten feet from an east facing window that has sheer curtains. The temperature is usually kept to 75. Please help!

Just bought another TC monstera, and it’s planted in this substrate. Any idea what it is? I’m not sure what it is so I don’t know whether I should repot or not. I usually wait a couple weeks before checking the roots out to give it time to acclimate, but if this isn’t an appropriate substrate I want to change it asap.

Hello all! Relatively new to being a plant father and am looking for tips. I was gifted this monstera in March as a housewarming gift. It had been repotted by the nursery when purchased. Overall I think it’s in good health as I’m seeing some new growth. I did have a couple of little crispy spots that I trimmed off a couple of leaves. Wondering if I should leave what’s left or if they should be pruned? And just overall tips to make sure i keep this bby alive! (She’s in a south facing window with indirect light but was moved for better pics) Thanks in advance!

From the terra-cotta pot to the plastic one in less than 6 months! She truly is a beauty. I’ve taken three cuttings off of it so far but it’s started to really grow, like four leafs a month!

Hi! This was one of the first plants I was able to grow in my journey to become a plant mom that isn’t in danger of all her babies being taken away from her…lol. Now that I’ve learned more and joined this app to see others endeavors, I’m wondering if she’s as happy as I thought? She definitely continues to grow, usually at the ends of her long “weaves” (such as where she’s grown across the yoga cat on the desk and where she’s touching the floor). Is this what many people refer to as “leggy”? What will make her happier? Looking forward to your opinions!

How often does everyone water there plant? I’ve had about a month and I’ve watered maybe twice? I do spray the leaves once a week and wipe the leaves every two weeks. The soil is still pretty wet so I haven’t watered it. Is that right? Just wait for the soil ti get dry? A new leaf has started to form!!
