Plant Father

i am continually blown away by this plant. it was two rotten cuttings i cleaned up and rooted in perlite in july. potted them up in august and they were rootbound by september. one of the aerial roots even tried to grow over the side of the pot (you can see the arch of it close to the soil), so i repotted it and haven’t seen any growth since. a few days ago i noticed the tiniest bit of a new leaf poking out, and every day since it’s grown crazy fast… hoping the other cutting is working on a new leaf too

I’m really happy that I’m maintaining decent health for my monstera, but I am concerned because some of the smaller/ newer leaves are wilty. 2 questions: 1. Could I not be misting them thoroughly enough? 2. By the look of them, should I prune them? Note: I misted Annabelle more than usual today so if it looks like an appropriate amount that’s why. (New shoot for happy thoughts)

I got this monsters in the summer and it’s grown so much since then. I like how wild it looks but I think it needs a moss pole as it’s falling over in the inner pot and I’ve had to prop it up. I’ve never repotted it or have a clue how to add the moss pole. Any suggestions?

I picked this guy up from a big box store the other day. Would you recommend repotting and separating out what look like could be a couple of plants? Thanks!

Hello! I’m a very new plant owner, I got a Monstera from an online store. It was wet when I got it (2 weeks ago) and I haven’t watered it yet, just misted it. And I haven’t repotted it. Today I noticed some dark spots on the leaves as well as some yellow/brown spots close to the base. Any ideas on what is going on?

Hi all, 👋🏻 So this is my first monstera and I absolutely love it. I noticed the little guy that is poking out of the pot today from the plant (picture below). Should I be concerned that the pot is too small and this is a root? Or do we think it’s new growth? I don’t love the idea of repotting in the winter but, I will for the sake of this beauty! Thanks for all your help everyone!

First new leaf on my monstera in a few months, after almost falling victim to thrips! It’s been very happy since I transferred it to LECA about 2 weeks ago, and moved it to the window to get more light.

I just brought a new Monstera and it’s so beautiful. There are some exposed roots and I’m wondering if this is okay or if I should do something about it. I’m not sure if they are aerial roots or not but any suggestions or input is appreciated 😄

I recently got a Monstera and noticed it’s starting to get brown spots on a couple of the leaves. I don’t really know much about plants, so I have no idea what it is or how to get rid of it

Good morning I hope all is well with everyone. Just want to show my appreciation to the couple that advise me on a moss pole and the glow light all can be found on Amazon. My Lil monstera is growing new leaves . I cut of the brown leaves. Still giving it my attention. Thank you.

Late night repotting since i finally have my diy moss pole ready… i’m hoping i don’t regret this. A few months ago I had the mistake of re-potting my monstera straight to a ceramic pot… It was such a struggle removing it without breaking anything, currently trying to loosen up her roots. Wish me luck.

To repot or not to repot? I feel like my monstera is getting a little big for its pot. Might be hard to tell in the photo, but it’s in a 10in diameter plastic pot in a 14in diameter planter. I last watered a couple days ago, but some leaves are still kinda wrinkly. Lots of sources say best time to repot is late winter, so just wanting to see what people think undergoing it. Much appreciation, from a new plant mom.

So like maybe 4 months ago or more my 3 year old, then 2yo, tried to destroy this leaf on my monstera but I splinted it lol and it’s still thriving months later. Not sure if I will ever be able to take that splint off so maybe I should just let the leaf go but idk if I can do it
