My boss just gave me this monstera adansonii, it looks a little sad. Any advice for her? I have her under some grow lights currently
My bestie and I made moss poles for my monstera š„¹ Iām so happy, it really needed them! Iām hoping that the support will help it grow bigger leaves!
Just wanted to share this Thai constellation my old manager at my old nursery gave me at the start of my employment. Sheās gotten so big š„¹
Hello! My monstera is/was doing fine until a new leaf start growing in yellow/brown. The last new leaf hads this brown/yellow spot. Whatās wrong with my plant? Thank you!!
Hi, my cheese plant is slowly dying and any new growth just falls off pretty quickly. I propagated it a while ago and that worked for a little bit now itās dying again. Iāve been following plantaās recommended watering schedule so I donāt know what else to do. Does anyone know how to save it?
The leaf and steam on the bigger part broke and died in a move. The other two are OK should I just cut off the leaf or should I break this off to propagate it and how easy would that be?
My monsteras are struggling and at this point Iām not sure why. I removed two of the bottom leaves today since they were fully brown and crispy, and thereās a third yellow leaf thatās probably going to die as well. Thereās also a new leaf that seems to have rotted before uncurling; super concerning. Iām thinking it could be shock due to repotting too frequently (once a month ago because the soil was too dense, and last week there was some root rot due to the drainage holes being blocked at the bottom of the pot so water was pooling and I didnāt want rot to set in again). The leaves were a bit wilted today but I think it was just thirsty because I watered about an hour ago and theyāre perking up a bit and feeling less soft. Other than that, the soil is well draining, it gets good light from a south facing window (4 ft from window), humidity ranges from mid 30s to mid 40s percent. Any ideas on what could be the cause of the leaf death? Is it just bouncing back from the root rot / repotting?
Thoughts on the issue? These are two large leaves at the bottom of the plant facing away from the window. Should I just chop those two off and allow the good stuff to grow?
such a good feeling watching this thing grow š¤©
Can anyone give me some tips on how to tell when itās time to water my Thai Con? Itās new to my collection and Iām terrified of overwatering it and causing root rot. *EDIT* itās also in the same potting mix it came in as itās still acclimating to its new home. The mix itās currently in is not super chunky (it looks to be more regular potting mix than anything else)
Hi there! Please help, whatās wrong with this monstera and how do I better cure it? The app says itās underwatered, so Iāll try to water it more often and see if it helps. What do you think?
i am continually blown away by this plant. it was two rotten cuttings i cleaned up and rooted in perlite in july. potted them up in august and they were rootbound by september. one of the aerial roots even tried to grow over the side of the pot (you can see the arch of it close to the soil), so i repotted it and havenāt seen any growth since. a few days ago i noticed the tiniest bit of a new leaf poking out, and every day since itās grown crazy fast⦠hoping the other cutting is working on a new leaf too
Iām seriously addicted to monsteras! Just added this Esqueleto to my collection š
Iām really happy that Iām maintaining decent health for my monstera, but I am concerned because some of the smaller/ newer leaves are wilty. 2 questions: 1. Could I not be misting them thoroughly enough? 2. By the look of them, should I prune them? Note: I misted Annabelle more than usual today so if it looks like an appropriate amount thatās why. (New shoot for happy thoughts)
update on juniper.. his new leaf has finally started coming out!!!! heās been pregnant for so long with no progress and now his new leaf is almost all the way out!! now we wait for him to start unfolding
I got this monsters in the summer and itās grown so much since then. I like how wild it looks but I think it needs a moss pole as itās falling over in the inner pot and Iāve had to prop it up. Iāve never repotted it or have a clue how to add the moss pole. Any suggestions?
I picked this guy up from a big box store the other day. Would you recommend repotting and separating out what look like could be a couple of plants? Thanks!
Hello! Iām a very new plant owner, I got a Monstera from an online store. It was wet when I got it (2 weeks ago) and I havenāt watered it yet, just misted it. And I havenāt repotted it. Today I noticed some dark spots on the leaves as well as some yellow/brown spots close to the base. Any ideas on what is going on?
Hi all, šš» So this is my first monstera and I absolutely love it. I noticed the little guy that is poking out of the pot today from the plant (picture below). Should I be concerned that the pot is too small and this is a root? Or do we think itās new growth? I donāt love the idea of repotting in the winter but, I will for the sake of this beauty! Thanks for all your help everyone!
