What’s wrong with my monstera?? I feel like I’m not having luck with it 😭 it’s in front of a west facing window. It’s in tropical soil from local plant shop so it should be legit and not like miracle grow soil. I had a leaf grow in dead. This new leaf grew in but with lighter brown spots. And the two darker original leaves seem to have something going on with them too.
(The little leaves under the light green new leaf are actually fake lol)
Please help any advice! This was a gift from a friend and I want to do well with it because they said their monstera was growing crazy and needed to trim and cut it down so I got a piece of it with roots in tact but I feel like I just can’t seem to do it justice 😔

Just picked up my first monstera! Two of the leaves were just starting to fenestrate when I got it earlier today. Any advice for this baby or any clue how long I should expect some more prominent fenestrations to appear?

Variegated monstera experts! Help a girl out!!
My newly adopted aurea has 4 gorgeous, fenestrated leaves, and was decently rooted when I got her. She arrived in damp sphagnum and I left her as-is for 2 weeks before I moved her to a chunky aroid mix w/ Bonide systemic granules mixed in for pest prevention. She was extra droopy, so I checked out the roots and most had rotted!! I don’t think that was the case when she came. I chopped everything off the aerial roots, did a diluted hydrogen peroxide rinse, & put the aerial roots in a mixture of fluval stratum and pumice because I have CONSTANT issues with monstera stems/nodes rotting in any kind of soil-like substrate. I also have her sideways, roots down to minimize contact with the stem.
QUESTIONS - did I add too much systemic.. maybe that destroyed the roots? Would you do or position anything differently? And are the aerial roots deep enough in this position/how often would you water? Thanks in advance 🥲

My monstera is getting very tall. My next step is to make a hole in the ceiling! Seriously, should I cut, prop in the same pot? Where do I cut and how do I deal with the long roots (?) embedded in the moss pole? There is new growth at the top and about ⅓ of the way up. I do not think it is root bound as of yet. Thank you 🙏!

Should I repot my mini monstera? It’s getting very long and the moss pole is wobbly making me wonder if I need a deeper pot to hold it up. But I hate to repot plants if I don’t need to.

Went to Lowe’s to get wood and stain. Came home with a cart full including 2 huge, healthy Monstera’s for $7 each!!
I can’t believe they clearance out after a certain number of weeks even if they are thriving plants. I’m not sad though.

Would love some help 💖 Could someone tell me if, overall, my monstera is doing ok?
I received this water propagated cutting last September and since then, I’ve only had two new leaves (one was this month). They never developed fenestration and it was growing so slowly. After a while I began watering it every 5 days and it started seeming happier (and grew those leaves).
On the other hand, a few of the leaves have always looked “wobbly” and sunburnt, but now one of them is fully yellow as of this week. Should I cut it off? Should I water less?

I just repotted my monstera a month ago! And now the areal root is growing out the drainage hole 😭 is it time for me to repot her?? I may have miscalculated how large of a pot I needed for her

I’ve had this plant for about a month or so it was really thriving however recently it stopped growing, and I noticed it got the yellow leaf as well as the other leaf being droopy. Not sure how to fix this. Any ideas?

I got this beauty from Costco about a year ago and she is doing great. She is however getting very big and flopping into our couch to the point that she should be paying rent!!! I did prune and propagate off of her about a week ago but she is still bending the moss poles that I put in. She is super happy in this window and I don’t want to move her into a less sunny spot. Her nodes have grown to about a foot or more outside of the pot and are just hanging there. Should I repot her in a bigger pot or move her to the ground? Or I could prune more off of her to make her smaller?
