Is this mold or some kind of eggs…..? 😭 my beautiful Thai Con. She’s doing well aside from one leaf turning brown on the tip. She has two new leaves coming through currently.

LeafyGreenhouseIt is called egg mold (or at least that’s what I call it) it doesn’t do any harm to the plant really but it does take over the soil so I would repot or scoop out the parts with the mold

JustyI had this with my monstera, its mold from no airflow and prolonged moistness, I believe. But it looks like your plant is overdue for a repot anyways

She actually just got repotted to this size a few months ago. She is just growing very fast! 😅 she’s in a 12 inch clear pot right now

plantgeekthis is def not overdue. monstera like to be a little tight anyways, but overdue would look like roots circling the bottom of the pot, and these do not appear to be close to that yet

Clear pots are the best. I loveeee checking her roots 😋 she’s a big girl.

That's flowerpot parasol. It's a harmless mushroom that likes the same soil as most plants. Those egg-like things tend to form before the mycellium (fungus roots) bloom into a mushroom (the temporary part that spreads spores). If it blooms often, that can indicate overwatering, but an occasional bloom is just the fungus enjoying good soil quality. If you have curious pets or kids, pick the bloom; it's not dangerous to eat but it does cause miserable stomach upset. Otherwise you can keep it as a companion for the plant or pick it if you prefer. If you ever need to totally kill the mycellium, any fungicide will do, but this species is very common in soil and will likely come back any time you add new dirt
