Hello, I purchased this gorgeous Albo yesterday from a personal seller, but I was wondering what I might do with her monsterous(!) aerial roots? Perhaps install a moss pole like my deliciousia next to it? Can I wrap the roots around it? I don’t want to cut them if I can help it but also she’s a bit of a trip hazard 🫣🤣 TIA xx

    If it’s a trip hazard, snip them. It will grow new ones — and if you install true moss pole they’ll grow into that instead of out into the atmosphere lol Wrapping them around a coco coir pole won’t do anything except maybe break them, at which point you’re better off cutting them 😊💚

      Thank you for your advice! There are some smaller roots near the top that I may direct into a moss pole before they get crazy like the others 🤣 Will snipping them cause any damage to the plant? x

    Those are some serious roots for sure 🤩 What a gorgeous albo!! I like to redirect my aerial roots back into the pot. But I do that before they get that long. Are yours still flexible enough? Otherwise you can give them their on pot actually. Sounds silly but it works Leaving them hanging can be a tripping hazard, like you said, but also a risk that they’ll grow into something you don’t want them too. I’ve seen pictures of people’s monstera rooting into their carpet or drywall 😱😅

      Yes they are pretty flexible! I have bought her a larger pot so when I transfer her i will attempt to wrap the aerial roots into the pot.. i’ve also purchased a true moss pole so will try and direct the smaller ones into it
