I bought this Monstera Deliciosa almost 2 months ago. My very first monstera so was a bit nervous about taking care of it. But I’m so happy to have had 5 new leaves (2 large and 3 small) the last 2-3 weeks and again seeing 3 more coming. It’s sitting on our dining table that has East, North and West facing windows. I don’t have South facing windows. But it can’t sit on our dining table forever and afraid if I move it, it will not thrive…. I’m also debating if I should separate the large and small stems and repot. Any thoughts?

    Anymore than 2 monsteras in one pot can cause problems. Eventually they'll start fighting for nutrients and light. I'd seperate them now before the roots get so tangled that the only way to seperate them is by damaging them.

    Agree! I’d definitely split them. They’ll be much easier to manage and healthier.

    Ok I did it today. Separated it and found so much root that I placed the main 2 stems in a larger pot, took 3 small stems into a smaller pot, and one unfortunate cut into water. There were 2-3 new leaves that were ready to open so I hope they weren’t too shocked/stressed…. I waited for one large leaf to fully open. 🤞
