What are you guys cleaning your leaves with? I bought mine a month ago and I used Luke warm water and a microfiber towel but I’m noticing a lot of gnats and wanted to know if there is anything else I can clean with that might help that? I have already bought gnat traps and plan on watering with 1 part hydrogen peroxide next watering day to try to attack the larvae
Often times, gnats live in the top layer of your soil. A few few things I have seen success around are watering with diluted peroxide, using diatomaceous earth or systemic granules , allowing the soil to dry out a little extra between watering, and bottom watering.

I’ve been using mosquito bits for all my plants every time I water and I have those yellow sticky traps and the zevo traps. It’s quite the work trying to keep gnats under control 🙁. For cleaning leaves, I heard you can use neem oil spray (need to dilute if using concentrate) and then wipe after a bit that would help with any pests on leaves and bring some shine also. Have yet to do this but had been wanting to for a few weeks when I find some time. 🤞

I used Paige’s sexy plant juice spray recipe to clean the leaves. She is a plant influencer. I find it keeps the leaves shiny and pests away. I bottom water most of my plants and spray 70% alcohol to keep pests down

2 likesI also use her spray recipe!! Works great for me :) I also added systematic granules around the same time, so that probably helps as well. Switching to a soil-less aroid mix helped me the most, I think. And I added a very small air filter near my plants to help with airflow

Neem oil for leaves. I like microfiber gloves for this. Keep out of sun or grow light while it dries. I like mosquito bits tea. I use those products in combination with yellow sticky traps (as an indicator when it’s time to use the tea), Zevo light traps, and fans for air circulation.
