Just noticed this brown spot on my pretty new Thai constellation monstera. I have it in a similar location as a different standard monstera, so I didn’t think the sun would be too intense. Are the white leaves significantly more brown to sun damage?

Having the same issue with my Thai Con. Would love some help as well
0件のいいねFrom reading other posts over the last year or so this seems to be a problem with plants that put out pure white leaves/parts of leaves. I wasn’t sure how to explain it so here is a snip from Google: Variegated plants are more sensitive to lack of water and light, and since the white parts of the leaves have no chlorophyll, they are highly sensitive to issues that will turn leaves brown.

0件のいいねI’ve read that using silica will help a lot with the browning. I haven’t tried it myself, but see a lot of plant people using it with success.
0件のいいねResearch Professor monstera method. Guy is a little whacky but he knows his stuff about variegated monsteras. His method requires consistency but it really does work!
