Hi everyone! The Roman Empire has been on the struggle bus for a while now— a few months ago I noticed tiny white spots all over the leaves with some of the leaves turning yellowy, so I assumed it was either an issue with the roots or a pest of some kind. I repotted since it was starting to outgrow its old plastic one and went ahead and sprayed neem oil, but the problem hasn’t improved, and several leaves are now curling pretty dramatically. I think it could be a combination of multiple problems since my apartment receives very little light (thank you, second floor facing into a courtyard), I don’t mist it very regularly, and I recently watered several days late. My plan is to continue spraying neem oil and get some kind of grow light— would that solve the problem? Is it at a stage where it needs something to climb as well? Does it need more dirt/moss of some kind? Worried I’m doing everything wrong for this poor plant 😅 Edit: I sprayed The Roman Empire yesterday so there’s still some oily residue on the leaves, but I tried to get a picture of one of the little white specks and oh god I think that’s a bug. Lol. Please send help and good vibes, I think my plant is being eaten alive.

Curling could mean over watering/under watering, fading yellow leaves could mean not enough light and some other issues. Just make sure it’s in a nice spot with indirect sunlight, (or grow light) only water when you stick your index finger in and it comes out dry, when watering wipe the leaves down with a cloth, to remove any spider mites or pests.
