I just got my first monstera today but it’s a very sizeable one for coming from a grocery store. It looks like it has a few new leaves coming from several different parts of the plant, or that it might even be two separate plants potted together. Any advice or recommendations for me? I have to get a pot big enough for this if I need to replant it but I’m not sure if it needs that now or not. I’m also taking unhinged name suggestions as this is now our largest plant (excluding some peppers out back)

    That’s 4 different plants in one! Check to see if it is root bound because in that size pot with 4 different plants in one it is probably root bound. Water when top 1-2 inches are dry, bright indirect light, and around 60% humidity (you can mist or use a humidifier), also use a moss pole. Good luck! I love your dog in the background, what’s their name?

      Would you recommend doing 4 separate pots and just sizing down for the size of each root ball?

    I agree with plants but the only thing I would say is misting does not retain humidity like a humidifier does but even if you can’t buy one my monsteras have survived perfectly fine without it! I would also say if you want to increase growth and fullness I would fertilize frequently (although don’t use a hard fertilizer!) good luck!

      I live in Florida so the ambient humidity is decently high but I could figure out a humidifier for the monstera, I’m sure my begonias would love the extra humidity too

    I repotted my monsteras and besides big pots they need good sturdy supports.

    As for names, my giant grocery store find was named “Her Majesty” 😂 I’ve also been known to cheat… I send pics to ChatGPT &ask for suggestions 🤭
