Hi! Does anyone have any advice on why my monstera are looking droopy? They were watered 2 days ago and perked up a bit but then started looking like this last night? There’s not been much sun recently but they’re still getting a lot of direct light (south facing windowsill) so I’m not sure what’s wrong… They were repotted into separate pots about 2 weeks ago and were doing fine until now..?

Are the largest leaves the newest ones that have sprouted? If so, it may just need to be given some vertical support. When discussing tropical plants, they generally have a few patterns of growth. Monstera are considered climbers, so if you want them to stay very perky, you will need to support them. You can either use an organic material (like a moss pole or plank) for it to grow arial roots or you can give it an artificial stake (like tomato cages or wooden dowels) and use garden ties or velcro. I personally use thin bamboo stakes I bought at Lowe’s and secure the base of the stem with velcro

I’m going to order some moss poles soon to start supporting them, but I was more referring to the droop of the leaves rather than them tilting. The leaves seem to be drooping/curling downwards when usually they’re all firm and straight? Could it be the lack of structural support causing that too or is it something else?

Ohhh, I see what you are saying. Some of my leaves look like that as well before and slightly after watering, my guess is that they just haven’t drank enough in the past two days to fill that leaf. Monstera are vascular plants, so they actually absorb water through a vein system that helps support them as they climb plants in nature.

Do you suggest watering them again so that they have enough? Or is it too soon?

I would not water again for fear of root rot. I think the plant is probably still adjusting to being watered. When plants get fertilizer burn, it usually appears multiple days after fertilization. It just takes time for the water to travel up the steps. If you are noticing a continued trend of dropping leaves after a few days, I would try a different solution
