Would love some help ๐Ÿ’– Could someone tell me if, overall, my monstera is doing ok? I received this water propagated cutting last September and since then, Iโ€™ve only had two new leaves (one was this month). They never developed fenestration and it was growing so slowly. After a while I began watering it every 5 days and it started seeming happier (and grew those leaves). On the other hand, a few of the leaves have always looked โ€œwobblyโ€ and sunburnt, but now one of them is fully yellow as of this week. Should I cut it off? Should I water less? Thank you ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–

How often are you watering it? I would cut off the leaf that is fully yellow

I am now watering every 5 days, for about 10 min in the shower. I used to water less and after I started watering more, I felt the leaves perked up and showed more signs of growth. But if one leaf is yellow, it makes me wonder if I should cut back again.

I would water it less keep the time of the watering the same but I would try watering it every 7 days and see if it does better

Thank you! So same amount of watering time (10 min in shower) but slightly less frequent. For trimming the yellow leaf, should I cut it at the base or do you have advice on where to make the cut?

Youโ€™re welcome! I trim mine at the base and thatโ€™s been working well for me so far

Following up, I read to cut the stalk down to just above where there could be growth so I did that and the whole stalk turned yellow! Think thatโ€™s ok? I will say a big aerial root started forming after I snipped the leaf.

Does it get direct or indirect sun?
