My first monstera I’ve had for 2 years!! I need help on how to propagate or how to have her be the best potential she can be! She’s a little chaotic as I’ve tried to stop the lopsided growth, and I ordered moss poles! Any advice is welcome :)

Would you propagate in soil or water?
0件のいいねWater at first I believe, most plants will do well in water to propagate. I'm also thinking about propagating my monstera!
2件のいいねCan you show me exactly where to cut?! I’m so nervous I’m going to kill it!! 😪😪

I also found sticks for alignment to be WAY more effective than the wires.
いいね 1件It’s a little hard to see the angle, but I would say you have these two option to cut and prop. Start in water.

0件のいいねfor the “lopsided” growth, monsteras in nature grow a front and a back side. the back side is where the support is (your moss pole will be the back), and the front side is where the leaves face out towards the sun. rotating monsteras gives them less opportunity to build up that front/back, making them a little more leggy looking.
いいね 1件I would recommend air layering propagation. It’s the most safe method of propagation for your monstera. Did it to my monstera this year. Used perlite, orchid bark, and sphagnum moss. The roots are already bigger than 2 inches, and it’s been 2.5 weeks
2件のいいねOh! I’ve never heard of this method! This is cool!
0件のいいねAlso easy and stress-free. Really recommend reading a bit more about how to do it and trying it yourself. The only thing to look out that you need to make a lot of tiny holes in the bag, so the air can get to the roots and they don't suffocate and rot in the bag from the lack of oxygen;)
