Hey friends! This is my first post on here, thank you in advance for taking the time to read. Please be nice to me and my monstera…. I know she is out of control, but I’ve been struggling with how to tackle this. Wondering if I should give it a good trim, or if it needs a bigger pot, or both? When it comes to trimming, I don’t know where to start… should I trim off the limpy, small leaves + stalks that grow funky? Any input is appreciated. Thank you 🫶🏻 I have the grow light on 9 hours a day, it is quite bright, unfortunately it’s not dimmable. Would like to keep using it if possible, as my husband installed it for me. Not sure if that’s part of the problem with stalks growing towards the light all weird!

Your Monsterra is GORGEOUS she is wild and I LOVE it ! Great Job I hope mine grows as nicely With trimming I usually cut the stems that have limpy leaves ( and yellow leaves too when she’s not doing so great) I would keep the stems that grow funky just because I think they add a little Personality 😆

It looks like you have a water globe in there? That would be my only suggestion to remove :) monsteras like to dry out in between waterings so if that’s keeping it moist, that could leads to root rot. But other than that it looks like she’s ✨thriving✨

Thank you! I feel like it dries out a lot, even just a few days after watering, so that’s why I added the globe. Good to know that they actually like drying out in between! I removed the globe and feel more confident in that now, thank you :)

I don’t think so, I am planning on repotting it soon, putting it off because I’m nervy lol!

Also, leaves will always move themselves towards the light!
