   Ouch! Looks like rot. If they’re squishy I’d cut this leaves off and wipe away as much of the goo as you can. Maybe overwatering?

     Yup, you are right, rot for sure. I’m thinking water might have went between the stem and the petiole. If it was mine, I would take a peek at the roots too just to be safe 💚

   Oh dang. That's a bummer! I'd also check the roots and probably treat with some peroxide.
