Just a quick tip if it’s useful to anyone. I was using a neem oil/water mix to treat for knats last year & accidentally discovered that it’s a perfect natural leaf shine (vs the store bought). Just dust leaves with water & some neem oil (i used a microfiber towel on the monsteras), or even just misting with the mixture (as I usually do with pothos) with it will give a really nice shine ✨

I’ve got a recipe 2 cup water, 1 teaspoon rubbing alcohol, 2 tablespoon neem oil, and some peppermint casteel soap!

So you've been doing this method for a year without adverse effects? Cuz I'm wondering about the oil blocking the little whatchamacallits on the leaves that need to exchange gas. But the shine is LUSCIOUS

No side effects! I only dust/mist this way maybe once a month or longer, and oil is diluted so no issues with buildup that I’ve noticed. Plantas are still happy & popping out new leaves left & right😊
