What plant?

Help! Is this Monstera being supported properly by this moss pole? The growth out from the sides are getting really long. Also all the leaves want to face different directions! How do I make them all face one way??

Hi!! The leaves facing different directions means the plant is searching for a brighter light source! You can adjust the plant’s distance from the light source and over a course of a few days-weeks the leaves will grow in the same direction (as long as the source of light is bright!) The growths from the sides are called aerial roots and they are known as the “spine” or back of the monstera. See how the roots grow to the left and right but leave a bit of space in between? The moss pole should be in between the roots to allow it to attach and support itself like it would in its natural habitat!
