Is my Thai Con okay? I’ve had it since February and it’s putting out its 3rd leaf. I think it seems ok… but the leaves are pointing upwards (towards the light) and the two newest leaves don’t seem to be firming up; the two newest leaves being 1-3 months old at this point. The smaller baby leaves at the base seem to be browning (pictured).. is this normal for those little leaves to die off? I give it a good water every 2 weeks or so, and it gets 10ish hours under a grow light. Maybe too much light?

I think she looks pretty good! The browning on the variegated parts of the leaves is normal. I supplement with silica each time I water and that seems to keep the browning at bay for me. The oldest little leaves will die off with time….perfectly normal.

Not sure about the spotting but the baby leaves definitley arent gettinv enough light, and the way the plant is looking upwards towards the light tells me they arent getting enough light either. Try pointing your plant light at an angle if you can- this will get all leaves light, will improve the look of the plant, and maybe the lighting of your room, too. The leaves will point outwards where everyone can see them and the light will hit it beautifully. If you cant move the light, try getting a desk lamp kind of light, and put it on the floor or on a table. Im seeing a 150watt light on amazon right now for less than $20. The plant is beautiful and deserves its own corner and spotlight! And for gosh sake this is a pet peeve of mine- please pin up all of the leaves to the trellis. Its not going to get bigger if all of them arent pinned!
