I need the best Monstera soil mix either you prep it or buy it. Mine needs to be repot like now. I normally in the past used Mollys but I cannot find it anywhere. ??????

    I use indoor potting mix from my local plant store and amend it. The mix I like has a decent amount of perlite in it. I mix something like three parts soil to one part Miracle Grow perlite and one to 1.5 parts orchid bark. I make the mix so that it’s decently chunky and it’s mostly a look I go for rather than some exact recipe. I don’t know what’s in Molly’s, so maybe google that to see if you want to use other amendments. Unless their soil mix includes extra micronutrients, you should be able to buy whatever else you may need locally (charcoal, vermiculite, organic components, sand, etc.)

    I recently repotted and used Rosy’s Aroid mix. My plant seems to be doing well on it.

    I make all my soil so each plant can get exactly the blend it benefits best from. I keep potting soil, cococoir, perlite and pine bark mulch on hand. For monstera I use a 1-1-1 mix of potting soil, bark fines (sifted the larger pieces out) and perlite. I’ve found building my own mix tends to be much less expensive than specialty mixes which is helpful when needing to repot 85+ plants on any kind of regular schedule (annually or ever other year).
