Any advice for getting a monstera albo? Any tips on where to get it or how to care? I know they need lots of light to keep variegation, but I'm not sure about watering schedules and fertilizer rate ect. Any help is appreciated!

I would always check Facebook marketplace and Etsy but be careful with etsy because you can get scammed

Yeah I've been looking at FB but they're all so expensive 🥲

I bought mine as a cutting off of Etsy a while ago. Definitely read lots of reviews though for that shop and make sure it actually seems possible — otherwise it is likely a scam. Buying a cutting makes it feel like forever until you see new growth, but it eventually feels so rewarding 😆

I'm not too excited about cuttings because I always feel like if I don't do everything just right it's gonna revert to a normal variety

You can even get a plant online or a tissue culture

Plant shows might be a good place to look. The pricing varies a lot, but you're likely to find the less common varieties

I saw at least two at the last plant show i went to, thought they were on the expensive end of things

Oh. I think it would be cool to have a half moon where the normally all green part looked like an average monstera albo w the other stark full white

I like the halfmoon look too, but i think i might go for that type of variegation in a scindapsus

FB Marketplace, FB trade groups (local ones or Plant Purge USA), or Palmstreet are solid picks. I’ve bought and sold from Reddit trade groups too.

Understandable! I just ordered some for about $13. 5+ clippings ready to be rooted. Never had an issue with scams. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Same with Etsy and other third party stuff that gets delivered. That and the cuttings could be damaged during delivery and idk if they do returns or not n a hundred other variables
