How do i keep my fenestrations in my big monstera. It has put out 3 big leaves and while the new one is fenestrated it lost the secondary ones. Its super big but im worried that the next one will have even less fenestrations.

More light!
1 mi piaceI have it sitting in an east facing window. Do you think it needs more than that?

if it’s not rootbound and you’re fertilizing regularly, it almost definitely needs more light. many people have theirs growing and thriving in south facing windows (full sun indoors)
2 Mi piaceI don't fertilize very often so i will try to on a regular basis. How often do you think i should fertilize?

all my monstera plants get fertilizer with almost every watering (sometimes not if i’m lazy or forgetful). i use about 1/4 strength fertilizer during the growing season and half that when growth slows during the winter. i would recommend using an organic fertilizer since they are naturally slow release— the microbes in your soil will work to release more nutrients between waterings
1 mi piaceWhat state do you live near. My leaves never got fenestations like this. Curious what your humidity is or do you use a humidifier at all? If yes how often ? What beautiful leaves.
0 Mi piaceThanks! I like in the DMV area i dont have a humidifier in that room but i do have one in a different room and i use it all of the time.
